I got into Blind Guardian starting off with Imaginations From The Other Side and I think i'ts the perfect album to start off with. It's more straightforward than Nightfall.

I love how most of all the comments on the poll rooting for Dir En Grey are made by what seems to look like scene fags.

I love Iconoclast and it's easily one of my favorites from Symphony X so I really enjoyed the show. Russel Allen is an energy fueled beast and gave a spectacular performance. Iced Earth however definitively stole the show for me. Dante's Inferno and Damien are two performances I'm gonna remember for a long time. Stu Block is Iced Earth's best singer, he fucking kicks ass.

Excited for Symphony x and iced Earth tonight ^__^

ITT: First world problems

Just like there's a shitty and boring side of symphonic metal, there's a shitty and boring side of most metal genres. As long as the mainstream fans eat it up it will continue. Newschool Nightwish fell prey to this, sadly.

Even if the genre dies, something shittier will either evolve from it or rise from it's ashes and pollute metal's name with more mainstream crap. It'll be a never ending cycle.

I'm not exactly living on money growing trees here. If I'm given money by my parents, which is rarely, I use it for band shirts or save it for upcoming concerts, which is what I'm doing now.

I download all the music I listen to, which is about 60 gigs or something, I only own 8 cds and only because they are by bands that mean a lot to me i.e Iron Maiden, Dream Theater.

Everyone is just an idealize concept created to make you feel natural living with them.

If they can't find someone better than Adam Lambert they should just retire at this point.
