If money is your biggest concern this early in the game, then I wouldn't step up to plate with a hard wood bat and try to smash the ball out of the park while people are watching from the stands or from the hill that conveniently overlooks the field so you can have a picnic or something while you watch.

posts like these should just be deleted on the spot...seriously what are you thinking, he said that he is buying a wacom, you provided no information and hardly any opinion...

anyway, I used to have a graphire 3 6x8 which I found for $100 on sale, and it worked great. Somewhat recently I bought a 6x8 intuous 3 which is even more awesome. I don't think you can really go wrong with any choice, I haven't personally tried a bamboo but I imagine they're still high quality. I think you should base your choice on your commitment, if you'll use it, go for the pricier one.

No offense to the author, and anyone else, you can disagree with me if we can find the video, but I found a video about a year ago of the EXACT same game basically. It was about a teacher who was basically doing a tutorial, but I think it was also for a class, and he basically had the same program, with hinges, pivots, etc. Not only that, but the SHAPES like the X and stuff were almost exactly the same.

Phun? Or do you mean the original crayon physics game...

I dont see myself using them for movies. Theres something more immersive about not having an ad to wait through when watching an animation. For gaming i think it makes sense to take advantage of that. Games are sticky and viral by nature.

Yea movies in general have a lot fewer views than games...for obvious reasons, so it makes sense to maybe leave the $50 dollars on your movie behind for the better experience for the viewer. But with games it makes more sense because more money is at stake and the ads, especially these because of no time constraints, aren't bad for the experience.

Also, real nice work pgf! It looks great and I can't wait to use it on a future game.

Height

I'm probably a little over 6 foot, but I tell people I'm 6 foot when they ask. This is how the conversation usually goes.

"how tall are you?"
"6 feet"
"no whey because I'm liek 5'7'' and you are leik not 5 inches taller than me! You're probably 5'11''!!!"
or
"no wae because you're leki more than 5 inches taller than me so yuore prob 6'1''"

I don't know why people ask and then don't want to believe me...because A. what does it matter to them, B. why would I actually know that... And if you're going to ask someone how tall they are, just say ok...or something... don't question that shit.. ok I'll stop

Magic Pen

There are probably a lot of people that don't know it's "based on" (actually it's using their open source code and their entire graphic scheme, which is more than based....) crayon physics, but oh well, it's open source for a reason, and the game was still fun.

I got all the levels under 10 shapes, and used 130 in total, post what you got!

Anyone think the author is getting too much hate for his work?

no

I am curious what people think about all this. Some of it I actually really enjoy (like the Amityville Toaster episode) but I am always stunned by the amount of hatred over the series.

Some of it's good, but it's not new...it's old, he's done it and done it and done it to death. Some of the dialog is interesting, some of it is true, and some of it is funny, but the characters are sooooooo old, so what's interesting about that. I mean it has two characters, you think he could add some other characters to keep it interesting, or maybe redraw something for once, get a new loader, present it differently, he could do things with it, but it appears to me that he doesn't care about it... people like it the same old old old way it is, and I guess his motivation isn't creativity. It's just not interesting to eat oatmeal every single day, even if it tastes alright.

As if presidente didn't try to rain on the parade enough, you have to jump in. The point is that numa numa showed up on south park, and while most people probably don't know it, it showed up first on newgrounds, so it's like a piece of ng is on south park.

Hundreds, probably thousands and thousands of sites do this. Posting your work to the internet means taking this risk, you can take measures to prevent the distribution, but at the same time the beauty of the internet is the huge potential audience that your work has, and the mass distribution that occurs through portals and showcase sites.

Sites like these are nothing new, people start them up to make easy money, sometimes making more than one.

Level 30 man, level 30, I hate that game so much, it's stupid, but I had to defeat it. Level 30 isn't even the hardest level, which is monumentally retarded. The hittests are viciously failing and the fact that you're a slow ass square is so annoying. But I did finally beat it, and bury it, and piss on its grave, the end.
