I've played both CSS and TF2, if you're more interested in "fun" gameplay where it's really fast running and shooting and shit go with TF2, but if you want serious stuff with strategy then CSS. I personally prefer TF2, although I play both a little.

I commented on it at the time and I'll say it again now; whoever develops a liquid finger tip that sprays on, sort of like a spray on plaster, will make a killing when touchscreen becomes even more prominent (hell they could make a lot now). Just something you spray on your finger that creates a clean cover that can be easily removed.

Posted: 11/20/09 08:04 AM

Forum: Where is / How to?

if you vote on an under judgement flash (ones with grey names in portal list) you either get a save or a blam.

Blam: If you vote 0 or 1 on a flash and it gets blammed then you are awarded a blam, because you voted for the flash to be deleted.

Save: if you vote 2, 3, 4, 5 on a flash and it's saved and goes through the portal you're awarded a save.

Exactly. If you have an internet centric brain you'll do fine, just avoid the shitty ones. I remember discussing them a while back and right now in the UK one of the best is the freebiejeebies network, not sure if they're still operating properly though, take a look. exceem is a good forum geared towards finding the best ones.

they're legit because you complete offers that get the company paid, the company then use a percentage of the profits to purchase the console and ship it to you. Everyone wins, although there is some shady fake free console companies out there.

If you do it with a reputable one you'll get your console.

attacking a man in the street in front of the kid, what a brilliant thing to do that was. If you have to do anything, tell him not to do it, shouting at him for being violent and then being violent? You've probably done damage to the kid more than the dad did.

assuming this isn't fake lmao

If it's not mentioned, as far as I know, you have to pay for it yourself. Normally they'd include it if it was included because it's a huge selling point, I know if I saw "free gas and electric" I'd be more prone to look further.

If they don't mention it = pay yourself.

They didn't. The game was censored in Australia and Germany due to the gore; Valve also removed the Riot Police infected to ensure it didn't get fully banned. In Australia and Germany the gore is hugely reduced, no blood spray or corpses (they disappear instantly) and dismemberment doesn't happen, you can see all the low violence in an uncensored version by adding -lv to the launch parameters.

The amount of ads mean nothing, it's possible to make more on a single advert than it is on ten adverts. It's about placement, placement is everything.

There's nothing at this point that can be improved or be made better in any way that would warrant a redesign of the entire site.

The redesign doesn't mean remaking everything, it means a new, yes you guessed it, design. The old design was a redesign that included some new features at the same time. Redesign != site overhaul. If you weren't such a dick you'd realise Tom wants to do this, the site is going to be 100% widescreen instead of just the flash pages (I think anyway).

Topic: NG ads = slows browser

Posted: 11/18/09 10:59 AM

Forum: Where is / How to?

I have no problem running them, to me it sounds like your pc isn't performing very well. So, what are your specs and how does it run the rest of the time? Also have you tried running it in a different browser to work out of it's your browser or computer? If you lag across all browsers that narrows it down (assuming you did in fact update flash player and that isn't a problem). Also, how long has it been happening?

It's very hard to say definitively what the problem is with such little information, but if you REALLY struggle and can't fix it then try adblocking just .swf adverts.

Think that's bad? The wiring in my house is so awful that when it rains, the phone rings or anything is plugged in the adsl connection drops, it also happens "randomly" when none of the above happen, although that's rare. This means that I can't game or download properly, if I try and do anything that requires a persistent connection I'm fucked. It disconnects at least 20 times a day, even though it's only for 30 seconds it's fucking annoying.

It's been going on for just under a year now (started december 08) and the only way we can fix it is to have the house rewired but my parents don't have £10,000 to spare. FML.
