I'm pretty sure it was just an unforeseen thing that they never got around to fixing, or it's to do with electing a spokesperson for the flash (the submitter)

school isn't about learning what you're being taught, it's about learning to be obedient and being able to work. That's not necessarily a bad thing though. You'll eventually realise the only reason you attend school after you've learnt the basics (maths, English, basic science) is to make you work and learn to work. I gained nothing useful in my last 3 years of highschool other than the ability to do coursework.

http://www.tech-faq.com/error-number-0x8 00ccc0e.shtml could you not just google for the error message? Not to be a dick, but seriously, it's really not hard to input the error code into google and have it link you to a million pages explaining the problem.

The paying idea is pretty shit, but it's only about $10 for an account so it isn't too bad, there really is some great stuff there though, they ban idiots and because it costs to sign up that sorts most of the real idiots out. If you want intelligent conversation, http://reddit.com is pretty good, takes quite a bit of getting used to and it's not strictly a forum but it really is good fun and I've learned lots. It's pretty much digg, except it has "self posts" where people can't start what's basically a topic and everyone discusses it, I love it.

somethingawful.com if you can afford it is apparently fucking awesome. I don't have a credit card so I can't sign up, but there is some amazing threads there, it's like the ng bbs without the shit, only the good. I've spent many hours reading somethingawful without realising, it's beautiful.

It's england, it probably isn't broken but we have to have something to complain about. Maybe we'd be happy and shit if it actually worked and that can't be good for the country!

You're assuming we don't know it's expensive. I drink bottled water because I'm OCD about cleanliness, if I drink from a glass I have to thoroughly clean it first (which itself uses litres of water) and the tap water in my house tastes awful. I know some tap water tastes nice and just because yours does that doesn't mean that everyone else has nice tasting tap water.

tl;dr: shut the fuck up .

At 11/21/09 11:45 AM, BabiesAteMyDingo wrote: A bigger monitor will have a wider layout than a smaller one (in terms of layout). So technically you could use any size. But realistically you should go no more than 800 x 600. There's always the full screen function available within the NG portal if anybody really needs the submission to be bigger than that.

Newgrounds is fixed width, the maximum that newgrounds supports is 942px for width and an unlimited (from what I can tell) height. If a Flash is over 942px it will be scaled.

I've played both CSS and TF2, if you're more interested in "fun" gameplay where it's really fast running and shooting and shit go with TF2, but if you want serious stuff with strategy then CSS. I personally prefer TF2, although I play both a little.

I commented on it at the time and I'll say it again now; whoever develops a liquid finger tip that sprays on, sort of like a spray on plaster, will make a killing when touchscreen becomes even more prominent (hell they could make a lot now). Just something you spray on your finger that creates a clean cover that can be easily removed.
