Oh hey, I got it.

At 7/13/09 11:29 PM, firemaker60 wrote: Yeah, I had that exact same problem with my old sig before. Your sig will display fine to Windows users, it's just that the Mac's color palette (and in turn, PS CS3's default palette) that makes it seem darker.

For example, below is my old sig. It'll look fine to people using a Windows or Adobe palette, but it'll look darker to a Mac palette.

Yeah, I had to tweak some settings in CS3, then I opened the image once again with different settings. I think the file size was then reduced, so I was able to save without lowering image quality. I have no idea how that all worked though...

That's what I have essentially been doing, but whenever it's uploaded, the image becomes darker. The image on my computer is the right color, whereas once uploaded it becomes darker.

I'm trying to create a sig, giving the illusion of transparency without too great of a loss of quality. Attached is an image with the two color discrepancies--on top is the normal BBS background with the color code 25272d, while on the bottom is my attempted recreation with the color code 1c1d21.

I use the eyedropper tool to copy the color of the background, then add it to my sig, but whenever uploaded, the color becomes significantly darker.

I'm using Photoshop CS3 on a Mac, if that's relevant.

The sure fire way to get One Man Army is to hide out in the subway system between islands, though you probably can only do that earlier on (which is what I did). It pisses the army off, instant six stars when you try to go through, and they never bother you. In the meantime, you can have a nice cold pint, and wait for it all to blow over.

Everyone who wants a Wii most likely already has one. Nintendo is way behind in the game with this release. If they'd done this much earlier on, they would have been much better off.

So if I get this game without having played Halo 3 beforehand, would I understand the plot entirely? I know its a prequel to Halo 3, but is there anything pertaining to the story I should know before playing ODST?

Looks badass, and the Collector's Pack seems like a good deal. $100 for a $60 game + $50 controller. Not that I need another controller, since I have two and so far have only needed two, but I could always put one out of commission.

That'd be nice, since backwards compatibility is a big buying point for me. Will it be able to play original PlayStation games as well?

Here's another image of the alleged PS3 Slim I found here. It's rather small, but does look like a smaller PS3 separated into pieces.

That's what makes me skeptical about the rumor, but there are articles which write it off as being plausible.

The only reason I have any curiousity is because BestBuy is giving great new 80 GB bundles to get rid of stock for what could be the next new PS3.

That's a sign something may happen. Just like how the 360 20GB Pro dropped $100 so they could make way for the more high-end versions.

Yeah, the PS3 price cut rumors have been active for years now, but some recent hub-bub has stated that Sony plans on dropping the price of the original model to make way for its release of the PS3 Slim in the fall. Some sites speculate the release of the PS3 slim to be this month, but that seems too sudden.

Here's an article speculating a July release of the PS3 Slim. Apparently Sony has given two Taiwanese companies the green light to manufacture the new model.

Personally I'm not putting any trust into these rumors as so many PS3 rumors have been a let-down, but if it happens, great.

If you bought Gold on either your Xbox or PC (using a debit/credit card), automatic renewal is on by default. The only way to turn it off is to call Xbox Support, which can be reached at 1-800-469-9269. Tell them you want the feature off. It took me about a half-hour, most of that time I was on hold... Shitty service.

I know there used to be a way to check if auto renewal was on or not on the Xbox website, but it looks like they got rid of that ability with the new site revamp. Not like you could turn it off anyway. Again, shitty service.

OP: I'm almost certain all storage devices you can buy for the DS do not have a homebrew application pre-installed that would play media files. I'd suggest Moonshell, which can play videos, music, and display images. Here's a guide on how to install it to a flash cart.

Fallout 3 also sucked for me at first. Instead of going to Megaton initially, I went to the school, where I was killed by Raiders numerous times, then went to the Supermarket, where once again I was killed by lots of Raiders.

If I recall correctly, you don't even have to find Three Dog, though that does make the game a lot easier to navigate. Just look around the Capital Wastelands. You're aiming to go to Rivet City, the area located in the most south-eastern point on the map. That will bring you closer to your dad.

Raiders can be a bitch, especially if you assign everything to an attribute you rarely use. If you use small guns a lot (which you do in the beginning of the game especially), give like 7 points to agility. You'll have to start over, of course, but you're not that far in the game now anyway.

The game is very rewarding in the long run. Once you get the hang of things, it's very good fun.
