Topic: official "Help find a game" thread

Posted: 07/18/09 12:10 AM

I'm looking for a fairly old game. The entire basis revolves around you being some kind of bar which can spin clockwise or counter-clockwise, and you have to tap a button at just the right moment to switch the dots you stay on. You basically have to go from point A to B, though there are often obstacles in the way.

I could've sworn it was called "Spin Doctor", but I can't find anything about it using Google.

Your girlfriend is not a whore, OP, she just doesn't match what you expect a relationship to be like. You want a steady relationship, to be her only one. From what you've said, she promises that, but also cares deeply for other guy friends.

Neither of you are in the wrong, but clearly as things stand you will not be happy with her. Odds are she'll change, but that could take 10-20 years. I suggest you remains friends with her, as you WILL get your heart broken many times before you ever get anywhere close to happiness with this girl, because from what I've heard, she doesn't seem to like to be told how to act.

Well, when games run by $50, multiple reviews often help seeing what to expect in a game before investing in it.

Though on the contrary, two of my favorite games (Left 4 Dead and Fallout 3) were bought out of "intuition".

Hulu is owned by both NBC and FOX, so everything on the site is legal. I heard rumors, though, that soon enough we will have to pay (not sure how) to watch the shows on Hulu.

Yeah no kidding. I saw them live after the release of their first album, and it was awesome. It is kinda odd that they're even continuing to call themselves Wolfmother when a majority of the band has quit.

Here's the new song.

If it is then oh well.

I'm not gonna introduce myself because, well, that's pretty gay, so the flow can piss off.

I just bought a new Wolfmother song called "Back Round" off iTunes. Apparently I had two opportunities to get it for free before, but I haven't been following the band.

The song sounds a bit different than their older stuff since everyone but the vocalist is new, but it's still pretty good. I've got faith that the new album (Cosmic Egg, TBR October 13 of this year) will be swell good. Their new drummer is from a hip-hop group, so I'm hoping for some phat beats.

like i cant get castle crashers or alien hominid's full versions cuz i dont have enough microsoft points.

You can always buy more, it's not like they really try to rip you off with MP anyway--it's pretty cheap. Plus, doesn't some of the profit per download go to the companies that created the game? So you'd be supporting Behemoth/Newgrounds.

Dealing with the fire ants was one of the last things I did in Fallout 3. The annoying thing, though, is that as you level up, the fire ants become more powerful... But you do get more perks and the like, so they should definitely be more manageable. Plus you'll get better weapons.

Ehhh, according to MJJ, the title has been in the works for months, and if so it's not really cashing in on his death since they started the game before his death. Though I'm sure now that he's dead they'll try to get it out quicker so more people would feel the need to buy it. For that reason alone, it's probably going to be a shitty game.

Oh hey, I got it.

At 7/13/09 11:29 PM, firemaker60 wrote: Yeah, I had that exact same problem with my old sig before. Your sig will display fine to Windows users, it's just that the Mac's color palette (and in turn, PS CS3's default palette) that makes it seem darker.

For example, below is my old sig. It'll look fine to people using a Windows or Adobe palette, but it'll look darker to a Mac palette.

Yeah, I had to tweak some settings in CS3, then I opened the image once again with different settings. I think the file size was then reduced, so I was able to save without lowering image quality. I have no idea how that all worked though...

That's what I have essentially been doing, but whenever it's uploaded, the image becomes darker. The image on my computer is the right color, whereas once uploaded it becomes darker.

I'm trying to create a sig, giving the illusion of transparency without too great of a loss of quality. Attached is an image with the two color discrepancies--on top is the normal BBS background with the color code 25272d, while on the bottom is my attempted recreation with the color code 1c1d21.

I use the eyedropper tool to copy the color of the background, then add it to my sig, but whenever uploaded, the color becomes significantly darker.

I'm using Photoshop CS3 on a Mac, if that's relevant.
