If heaven was just a place of only perfect people behaving properly and saying "good day to you" i would rather live another life as a human then be in heaven where there is no enjoyment.

If you are stripped of all your earthly desiers, then why go on? just live eternity in a lie?

plus the whole living for eternity...i dont think i would be able to handle it. no change at all. just heaven today, heaven tomarrow, heaven the next day. eventually heaven would get pretty dull and would just be a hell without the fire.

Fascinating, someone who shares my exact beliefs. It seems almost nobody agrees though.

It makes no sense. For example, a world with no pain cannot justify pleasure, because there is no comparison. You can't justify your happiness without some sadness, can you?

Comunism is good in someways, Im not talking about fake comunsim such as hitler or castro, im talking about the real thing. for example:

Pro comunism:
everyone is equal
everyone has a right to live
no one is too poor to afford to eat and drink
you can be rich if you have a job
without a job you arent poor
you depend on the government
if its set up right, everyone can be succesful

Pro capitalism:
you depend on yourself
you can get rich easier
the government is elected, not appointed
you can blame the president for everything.

now i would like your oponions whether you are for or agianst me, whether i put up a good argument or just made comunism sound worse.

I believe that Hitler and the Nazis were fascist, not communist. They hated communists. That's not my point though.

Communism looks good on paper, but does not work out well in real life. Communism means that nobody can be greedy and take more power than someone else, even the leader, and it is impossible to prevent that. Another major flaw is that you cannot give all jobs equal importance. It is unfair give the waiter at a resaraunt the same amount of importance as a doctor or a soldier. There is no benefit to going to college for 8-10 years to make just as much money as someone who did not attend college.

He is just helping to remember the attacks.

This topic is just somewhat misplaced, isn't it?

This is the politics board.

Yeah, why don't we just take baby steps towards removing all social classes?

Well, this got dull. Everyone arguing for universal healthcare disappeared.

There's no fun in a one-sided debate...

The US does not have an inferior health system than other countries. For a multitude of reasons, one being the amount of money the average American makes, the US eats more than other nations. Compared to other nations, many Americans are overweight, which reduces lifespan. I think that a 175 pound, 6 foot man from the US is in just as good, if not better, care than a French or Canadian of the same weight and height.

Take Canada for example, they have socialized healthcare and the typical waiting list for a simple MRI is eight months. And anybody (illegal aliens), could leech off socialized healthcare even more than they do now. Our system (while not perfect), is the best we can come up with right now. And with health insurance you won't be left high and dry.

I agree. I don't want to resort to being a martyr, but America will realize the problem when their taxes are just as much as, if not more than, their healthcare expenses.

Everything in this country simplifies down to the dollar. Medicine is still somewhat of a business (I say somewhat because of government regulations).

Then why must people who work hard to earn lots of money have to pay for them? These programs are the first step to socialism in the U.S. The government should not take the "Robin Hood" approach to these issues.

I see "less fortunate" people all day long, and almost every one of them is "less fortunate" because they have nothing good to bring to the table or are just lazy. I see the "less fortunate" hobos on the streets begging for handouts when they are completely able-bodied. They deserve to take money out of the working population's pockets?

If you had money, you wouldn't lobby for it to be taken away. However, it is normal for you to feel this way because you are most likely young. "If you are not liberal in your 20s, you have no heart; If you are not conservative in your 30s, you have no brain." (Winston Churchill)

If Hilary gets her national healthcare plan through, it will be a medical disaster.

When someone gets something for free, he tends to overuse it.

If everyone gets free healthcare, there will be massive shortages in medicine. Everyone will then realize how bad of an idea it really is. It looks good on paper, but is nonetheless a bad idea.

The best solution is to buy your own insurance, but some people cannot afford it and wish to obtain it at the cost of other people's money. They don't care though, because they don't lose money over it.

Response to: Hitler was a horrible leader Posted July 28th, 2007 in Politics

It depends how one looks at it.

From one perspective, Hitler commited one of the worst atrocities known to date.

He did a lot of bad, but not everything he did was necessarily bad.

From another, he was the German peoples' economic salvation. After World War I, Germany was in an extreme state of debt, as they were being forced to pay for the war. Inflation was so ridiculously high that no one could afford basic necessities. The German people needed someone, anyone, to restore order. It just so happened that the person to restore order was Adolf Hitler and his Nazi party.
