okay, here's the current status. i took apart the console and used isopropyl alcohol to clean the lens and used dustoff to clean most of the inner parts. i then put in spyro 2 and it worked like a charm. most of my ps1 games now seem to work. however, a brand new copy of chrono cross still won't work AT ALL. every time i put it in it seems the part that rotates the disc doesn't fit the disc hole just right and can't spin it. i have no idea what the problem is.

that's the thing, most of the ps1 games i've been trying are brand spanking new. like vintage.

okay, i have a used ps2 and it seems to play ps2 games fine but has a problem with ps1 games. every time i put a ps1 game in it makes a grinding noise and then says "disc read error." what the hell is wrong with it?

okay, i've seen this movie nigh on three times but i still don't get a lot of the plot. why did that group of people with the pregnant woman want to kill clive owen? why did they kill the girl? also, what is the human project all about?

look, guys, maybe i didn't go into enough detail.

1. the idea of it being 1983 but people have massively advanced technology is STUPID
2. the idea of people getting some virus and turning into a completely different race that for some reason is now capable of building even more advanced technology is STUPID
3. the weapons SUCK
4. the story SUCKS
5. the controls SUCK
6. the voice acting SUCKS
7. even if this were a decent game worth eight seconds of my time, it is still overrated. the average rating is 9.5 out of 10.

get killzone 2.

I bought this game one day out of boredom, played it twice, and then sold it to gamestop for half it's worth. Anyone else played this horrible piece of shit? For those of you who havent, dont.

anyone tried this? it's for ps3 and 360 and is pretty much the ultimate hack-n-slash. it's based on an old manga which was also made into a miniseries and involves gratuitous amounts of blook and gore. a slow-mo function lets you chop enemies into little pieces and all different shapes. get it nao.

i think it's really graphically amazing and has a great smooth flow. the only problem is the lame combat and the shitty voice acting and the personality of the new prince.

to be honest, i just started this thread to attract xbox fanboy faggots.

when i shot him i shot him right in the chest. with that huge caliber sniper rifle. and it hit him so hard his arm flew off. he survived??? does it ever show him with a fake arm later in the game?

there would be a few classes, like troll, pretentious flash contributor, post whore, crewfag, etc... and depending on your class, you would have different quests. maybe it would be like WoW with the horde & alliance except it would be good versus evil, the evil people representing trolls, camwhores, etc. and the good people being mods and animators.

the thing is there's some sweet compatibility and shit between the psp and ps3, like you can download games to the ps3 and transfer them to the psp, or get old playstation games off the playstation network and put 'em on the psp, etc.

the ds is only like $30 cheaper, and can't play music or anything...

and furthermore, DON'T SKIP THE CUTSCENES. for the love of god, skipping metal gear solid cutscenes is like eating the candles on a birthday cake and throwing away the rest.
