Response to: gods not real Posted November 2nd, 2008 in General

for the hell of it.

don't be so ignorant.
myself, as an agnostic swaying atheist myself, even think theres a possibility of cosmic power.
the point being that the probablity of there being a diety are equally as high as there being none.
think about it.
theres as much chance as something coming from nothing as there is something coming from SOMETHING.
the chance of the universe "just being" is incredably small. it needs some sort of starting gesture.
and I don't mean a mono-theistic roman catholic god either. that god could be some sort of devil god or even, hehe, "a child like deity, who draws us out as his first rude essay".
when it comes down to probablity, it ends up being a matter of faith.
you can't just say god doesn't exist, because you will NEVER know.

not really.
all the plots are pretty much:
terrorists V U.S marines/soldiers/pilots/cooks
U.S starts out strong
Terrorists start looking like there going to win
U.S army comes in and one hero seize's the day, saving the world.
and theres usually guns.

Shortest: Jethro Tull - Slipstream (1:13)
Longest: Dream Theater - Octavarium (24:00)

Let's see what Newgrounds comes up with.

change Longest to Dream Theater - Six Degrees of Inner Turbulance (40 mins) or In the Presence of Enemies (30-40 mins, can't remember).
both of those are one entire song :P

Response to: WW2 Posted October 26th, 2008 in General

jesus, people don't ever read between the lines.
history is written by the victors.
what the nazi's started out doing was CLEVER.
the jews were some of the richest and most powerful people in germany at the time, owning most of the stocks and shares in the banks (infact, owning most of the banks).
however, because they weren't, as of such, german, it was making the economy that little more weaker.
the initial idea behind the exile of the jews was to simply boycott there goods (because they couldn't tariff them) and get rid of them simply so germany could get back on it's feet.
however, I'm not saying the Nazi's were good.
Hitler, Himmler and Goebbels. these three men caused the problems. thats why it came to death-camps, and cruelty.
the Nazi's had good ideas.
Hitler himself, did not.
have you ever heard about the chinese and japanse war that occoured between the start and finish of WW2?
of course you haven't.
and that war had nearly as many casualties as WW2 itself, and the Rape of Nanking (nanking massacre) was one of the biggest atrocities caused by an armed force in centuries.
but it doesn't involve us.
so we don't need to know it.
of course not, what we need to know was that germany was a big fuck head who went around beating up helpless jewish people.

man, some people are really ignorant.

Response to: Opeth Is The Modern-day Pink Floyd Posted October 25th, 2008 in General

I wouldn't consider them the floyd of our generation.
to be honest, Opeth are in my opinion the most melodic and tonal way to get into progressive music. then from Opeth, people go to bands like dream theater, then eventually Behold... The Arctopus. it's a short path to math metal!
