This could simply be an optional extra to add substance to an art submission. The thumbnail of art that carries a speedpainting file could have a symbol in one corner to indicate its presence.
I like the idea of time lapse but I am not in favour of diluting the pure animation found in the movie portal.

4 hours well spent
Pretty cool, I would advice improving your traditional pencil to paper drawing skills if you are honestly looking to improve.
Strong initial line art is the basis for most work of quality. Personally I prefer to draw everything traditionally, only using the tablet to clean up scanned artwork.
I know other people prefer to draw entirely digitally but I find the old fashioned way to be more intuitive for me... at least currently.

The head of cabbage he's dropping is getting lost to the background as it's a similar color to the creature. Giving it more purple/brown shades will bring it to the front.
Personally I don't find the machete he's holding to be practical. A simple kitchen knife or cleaver would help sell the setting.
I appreciate the visual aid, I definitely agree.
I worked in a Vegetable factory for a few months, chopping the thick neck-like stems from Cabbages with Machetes, its essentially part of the theme/concept.

Hi, Ive been working on a new piece for about a week now, through drawing, scanning, cleaning and colouring and while I feel that my drawing skills are improving and will continue to do so, I feel that my colouring has hit a brick wall.
I would like to receive honest critique and advice on ways to improve my work, I tend to stray away from effects mostly through inexperience but would be keen to add skills to my, currently, underwhelming arsenal.
Hi, Im trying to upload a 430MB video on my fairly slow home connection (1MB dl), this process would typically take like 2-3 hours.
Im using Chrome, so this issue may be limited to that browser but after it reaches 100% I am promptly told my session has expired and to try again; this has happened three times now.
Im wondering if Newgrounds has a set amount of time for each upload session. Do I need to be on a reliably fast fibre broadband connection to expect to be able to upload the file in time? :o
Thanks,
features.
Just tried something, where I changed the MP3s bitrate from a fairly low 80ish to 130. Flash then accepted the file it'd taken offense to before.
Still, it all seems fairly random for a computer program; why accept one 80bit rate file while taking a fit at another. Does anyone actually know the criteria for MP3 importing in Flash, or is it supposed to be a complete load of shit? :S
Hi, Im trying to finish up an animation Ive been working on for a while now and have come up against an issue where Flash, rejects random MP3 files.
Ive been receieving the following error message:
"one or more files have not been imported because there were errors reading them"
Its an issue that cant be resolved just by re-editting the track and then importing. Whatever random file flash takes a disliking to, it seems to stick.
Ive worked with Flash for many years, but in that time I havent had to deal with much in the way of audio, so any help would be great.
Cheers.
