I didn't say in the US.
Ok but seriously, in the case of Nightwish (because covering all the other metal bands with female singers would take too long for me) both vocalist had/have operatic voices and technicality that exceeds most others. The structure of the song is somewhat commercial, but usually always have varying structure.
So yes, their technical skill combined with their popularity means they are "good."

This is correct. It also makes sense, if you're saying, "I hate you," it would look weird to have a huge grin on your face.
Yes morals exist, most people have them.
Are morals right? That depends on the person. The golden rule is usually the best philosophy to live by, but if a person is a masochist-sadist, it's likely that they will hurt people because that's what they want done to them.
It seems the best form of morals comes from the Ten Commandments. They offer order and law combined with common sense. It boils down simply to this; if it causes anguish, don't do it.

I think this club should be revived. I personally prefer the baroque period of music myself, but classical music does have its moments.

There's nothing wrong with learning sign language for fun. As a matter of fact I encourage it. Sign language is bad ass, especially when you can talk underwater or from far away.
(Name credited to Malachy for a more search friendly title.)
This thread is for people interested in ASL (American Sign Language) and deaf culture. I myself am not deaf, but am heavily interested in the way they do things, the way they communicate, and how they adapt to the regular world.
To avoid unnecessary questions, I will post what is likely to be asked and my answer to them:
Q: Why American Sign Language?
A: Because I'm American and it's similar enough to other variations.
Q: Why did you make this thread?
A: I have always been mildly interested with sign language and deaf people, but then I saw this poem written by a deaf person. This is what inspired me to start learning sign language and attempting to spread it to others.
Q: If you're not deaf, why bother learning sign language?
A: It's good to put on your resume, it's an interesting skill, and it helps you communicate to people that would otherwise be extremely difficult to understand. In addition to this, you can communicate without a phone or amplifier from large distances, and communicate underwater.
Q: Why put this thread on Newgrounds?
A: Simple. Most of the users on NG are young or potentially influential. If this club succeeds, I'm hoping for this to make a large impact in the hearing community, and expanding the deaf community.
Q: If we can't sign to each other, why bother?
A: We can post discussion and resources about our experiences, and videos on learning sign language.
Q: What is this thread about?
A: 1.) Sign language (Mostly ASL)
2.) Deaf culture
3.) Self-betterment
RULES
-Respect the deaf
-Respect the members of this club. I don't care about personal problems on other forums or outside of this thread, in here we are all friends.
-Try to be productive

Sadism, karma dispensing situations, blind hate, and many others that I don't believe were a factor in this person's malice. Sorry for your loss.
As for this drug, do you have any other information on it?
According to the book, The Gift of Fear, you were doing something very creepy. It's called 'the interview.' Look it up, it's really interesting.

No. Playing a genre well means you can play the songs in it near perfectly technique wise and can make a song that fits in the genre. It isn't contradictory, I just stated in a way that the more people that think you are good, the better you are.
Good musicians have the ability to recognise their flaws, and the ambition to improve them. They don't just write good songs, they actually feel them, and create honest expressions through them. At the end of the day, whether you like a song or not is always going to be subjective, but it's the ability to create something thoughtful, heartfelt and meaningful, that separates the good, from the great.
That is very well said, but still leaves a lot of error and room for interpretation. I agree that if a musician spots their flaws and fixes them, it makes them talented, but not necessarily good. Also if you judge a musician on a song or songs in one genre then it is fair to say they are limited to one type of music, and only one bias group can state they're good.
No one has any thoughts or advice on this issue?

People have a natural opposition to those not like them, and usually don't make the effort to understand something different from them. Also it's awkward to talk to these people most of the time to say the least.
