How about childhood experiences, development of the psyche, etc.? In most cases they play a much greater role than either genetics or "choice".
Childhood experience is nurture, development of the psyche, depending upon the broad subject, is either nature or nurture. Same categories.

That possibility is slim to none, and therefore shouldn't be given as much attention as the other major theories.

End of story.
Logical fallacy burden of proof. However, even if this thread wasn't about the hypothetical, I do have a foundation.

Interesting, do you have proof that it's a choice?
Does that mean one of the parents are a carrier for the gene? It is possible a mutation could occur, but the odds of it happening so fast seems somewhat unlikely.

My school sucks anyway.
Who cares if anyone 'helps you' or 'takes you seriously'
Depends on the situation. In this case the principal had said they lacked dedication and berated them, which is a negative thing to experience. It may not have mattered if nothing good was said, but don't berate others for doing something they love and especially if they're doing it well.
Added to this, they can't pay for everything themselves, so they will obviously need financial support. Finally, if no one takes you seriously then why do it at all on a field? Why bother having a band? If no one takes you seriously or cares why do anything at all other than enjoyment? Realistically, that isn't how sports, or many other things work. We have jobs not because we like them (but it is nice when that happens), but to get something in return like monetary gain.
The smart move would be stay away until she calms down, but if you absolutely have to be around her, patience and tolerance are the best things to use as well as understanding.
I think the best speech giver ever would be either Abraham Lincoln or Martin Luther King Jr.

With budget cuts the way they are, it's unlikely you guys will get anything. Here's my advice to you; get everyone in band you can to write a letter to your principal and say how hard each one works and how much practice you do and state how ungrateful everyone is including her for your service. Do it right now.
Also, if you can get your parents to sign it as well, it will look even better.

Grammar in asl is similar to Japanese spoken grammar, but about the word of the day; I got a PM from a mod saying they don't like it as it seems like an attempt to bump a stale thread, and therefore there will be no more word of the day until there is an edit feature, which there will never be.
The word of the day is cold.

The word of the day is what.

The word of the day is sleep.
When you live in a world of your own creation or build from flat ideals with no real goals, you tend to realize that it's meaningless and you get extreme urges to destroy it.

To the sun. When I go outside at night, I don't have any problems, but during the daytime, no matter where I seem to be I start getting congested, itchy eyes, and skin irritation (other than burning). If I am allergic, what am I supposed to do? It's not like I can stay inside forever.
