People don't always like being parodied (Rina-Chan) but there isn't much they can do to stop it. The only real authority stopping newgrounds from doing anything most of the time would be Tom Fulp and his team. There is no real structure or efficient organization to prevent copyright infringements.

How would I feel if I was parodied? Uncaring. Wouldn't matter too much to me so long as it didn't take too much of my original work.

You are completely right, as a strategist this is a crucial time. The head may not even have been the head, it may have been a public figure or fall guy to rally under. Actually, I view doomed more as an adjective meaning foreboding or destined to some form of unwanted negativity. Perhaps it could be a verb if you were to 'doom' someone, but I doubt this is in the context in which it is meant.

They want that shock value that gore provides, but it's so overdone that it has long lost its luster.
