well have all yer buddies give it a zero until it goes below the stupid quality rating which is like .2 or something. and itll be deleted. ( it should be way higher, .5 at minimum)

1) draw out the text box whatever object you want, and go to insert>convert to symbol
2) select button and click ok
3) double click the button , bringing up the actionscript guide.
under bsic actions, select <play>

and there ya go, simple as that, email me or aim if ya need anything else, and dont give up dude youll get the hang of it.

well the last guy i agree with also, but getting started can be hard too. it all depends on what yer aiming for, if you got alot of funny jokes, you could incorporate them into flash, if your a good drawer, you could do lots of action stuff, or make a series with a plot and characters n stuff. you could do a game once you have actionscript knowledge, but theres alot of simple stuff you can do if you just take the time to look at the reference. if ya need anything else feel free to email me or aim me!! :):):)

Yeah, your on about basic motion tweening, we are talking about "Puple Squirrel Motion tweening" its the code name for 3D tweening that automatically tweens any shape into 3D from a flat pic. Ask liljim or Mike or BANE, they can explain it better, its alot more complex than that, hardly anyone knows it except the rare few, hence the secret code name.

hmm damn you guys, heh i been working with some 3d stuff but i just draw the object from a different angle on each frame, kind of gives it a cool freaky motion, but with simple objects like a 3dsquare i can make 3d motion if i convert each 2d square in the 3d square into a seperate symbol and scale them accordingly, heh did yall catch any of that?

i have the wacom tablets at my school, i dunno im so used to drawing with a mouse now, i guess i got decent at it i dunno, alot of times those tablets are a bitch though, the ones at my school dont stop drawing until ive lifted my pen a foot up from the tablet, and it doesnt seem to draw the way the pens moving.

i have got to start learning the coding... all i do for motion tweens is right click and "insert motion tween" but im assuming yall r talking bout something else....

regarding all the complaints about all the crap coming to the portal, and those of you who have made sujjestions that the people in power somehow try to filter whats coming here, i have this response.

Consider what newgrounds stands for, its a contraversial site, many people have tried to censor it, and blame it for numerous crap that happens around the world. Now you are angry with the way the portal is going, your complaining that the twenty most recent always sucks. Wouldnt it be hypocrytical to have someone take over and decide what is entered and what isnt? its just like those conservative parents!!, if you have a problem with the portal, complaining so that someone else will do something about it is the stupidest thing you can do, tom and wade gave us the power to help clean up the portal ourselves, our experience counts, and if even half the people here went to the twenty most recent and watched and voted, the site would be cleaner, every day im at the comp, i see the twenty most recent, theres still good stuff coming in there, you cant expect everything to be good though, thats why you vote it of or vote it up. I don't know if this ideas been proposed already, but oh well. I think id be cool if tom had contests every once in a while where he gave out a certain subject or item or event, and people with flash would make a flash movie depicting or representing that issue. Then they could post it and it would go on a new portal column that could be called contest entries, people would vote, and at the end of the given time period, the winner would win experience points, or a cd player or shopping spree or some prize like that, it hink thad be cool.

also check out my flash movie race of beings pt1, it doesnt have a loading bar though so low bandwidth people give it a minute to load please.
