flash is what i use yes, its the best 2d program for animation id say, definitely the first step towards a future profession in video games or computer animation.

i can only help with the music part due to my retardedness on scripting, well what i do is go to File>publish settings..a new window will apear, click the flash tab on top, there beneath the audio stream and audio event is a box with the text"override all sound settings" checking it will reduce all music and sounds to 12.5 percent their original file size, this is the simplest compression method, theres compressing each one under the library in different formats like raw and stuff but none sound as good as the default compression in publish settings, so do that.

draw a circle, then go to the second frame on the timeline(up top) right click, insert a new keyframe, youll see a new frame with a circle in it apear on the timeline, go back down to the white square(technical term is "stage") then move the circle over, you can also right click the circle, and scale it or rotate it, congradulations, youve just moved a circle, now if you take a shitload more time you can draw whole people and move their joinrs and objects along a whole line of frames to simulate motion. it just takespractice and patience.

hmm, ya morpheus is the best , i got a bunch of adobe programs so hopefully ill be able to simulate some distance backrounds and draw more dynamic backrounds as well (thanks to a few tips from shockanime.com)

im aiming to finish the skater in mid october so it should be soon, i did ALOT of experiments with graffiti drawings in flash, although Pant's comment about different camera angles sunk deep in my head, and id been trying to do that but i looked at my video again and realized there are only a few unique angles( like when the sk8ter goes into the ""pool"", you see it from an underground point of view), but otherwise its mostly side angles, so i might try to add in a few scenes here n there with different camera angles to make the video of more interest.

remember its only a preview, but yes i am making some different angle scenes, and some closer ups, but as for the gradients i really dont use that many if you look closely, that opening sketch was completely flat colors. Thanks for the advice though.

go to FILE>PUBLISH SETTINGS, and there near the bottom will be a box to check in that will compress all mp3 to like 12k or so, youll see it and it will default compress all wav and mp3 to about 12% the original size

i wouldnt be so cocky, ive done watercolor, acrylic, oil, charcoal, woodwork, clay, sculpture, collage, mozaic, and ebony pencil sketches all my life, but flash is a whole new thing, drawing with a mouse is a new thing to get used to, and once you get the flahs programs drawing aspects known you can do anything with it, but its getting to that point that can prove challenging.

i taught myself the animation and drawing aspects of flash, best way i learned, was draw some stuff, find an odd buton, press it, work around a bit and see what it does, to go WINDOW>PANELS and look at the various panels there and fuck around with them, you will learn ALOT. by checking out stroke, mixer, sound, scene, and many others.
