I'd have to say Tails in the Genesis Sonic games. Unless you had a second player taking control and helping you with the boss battles, or if he accidentally took out an enemy or got rings for you at a desperate time, he was just useless. (Not to mention he wimps out on the final boss of S3 [no S&K].)

I've never been told what those 4 little letters mean. I would appreciate it if someone would enlighten me...

I googled it, and all the results I checked said it means "too long, didn't read."

Google - without it, most students would fail major projects

Thanks dude. Being a noob here, I was just wondering (and I was also a bit pissed), but I get it. I'll keep this in mind. Wish I knew about the thread earlier, but I guess I deserved that Fail Count for not looking very hard for it. :P
Thanks again!

You Can't Blam Audio Stuffs! Posted August 7th, 2010 in Audio

Note: This is about those shitty zero-bombers who think it's funny to drag down scores for legit music submissions.

Why do some users do this? You don't get BLAM points or any kind of reward for it. I've heard really awesome (I'm not exaggerating) pieces of music here, but I look at their score and it's surprisingly low. (And this is already happening to my stuff.) Seriously, what is the point? So good/semi-decent musicians can't be heard?

Kewl, more bandwidth...
Looks like we really will get the problems of the future... today. XD

Anyways, the icon thing doesn't apply to audio stuffs as well, does it?

Response to: You know what's funny about dreams? Posted July 28th, 2010 in General

I always wake up knowing I had the craziest dream, but as I start actually getting up, I completely forget what they were. Kinda sucks, 'cause some of them I actually enjoy...

Get off NG, kick Ryan out, and have some REAL fun... Heheheh...

Hellz yeah. Just give us a tank, an assault rifle, and some ammo, and we're gonna go scavenge from Wal-Mart without any problems! Survivin' the only way - the NG way...

Response to: Top Videogame Badasses Of All Time Posted July 24th, 2010 in Video Games

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Marine from DooM, or even the cyborg security officer from the Marathon trilogy.

(If you don't know what the Marathon trilogy is, Google it. In short, it was 3 Mac games by Bungie [yes, the same Bungie that made Halo] back in 1994-1996; similar to DooM in terms of graphics, but more kickass in gameplay and story.)

Response to: Retro games? Posted July 23rd, 2010 in Video Games

Can you be a little more specific as to how retro you want to go? I mean, for all I know, you could be talking about all the way back to games like PacMan, BattleZone, Centipede, Galaga, even Space Invaders, or as recent as Marathon Infinity and DooM 2. I'd play everything from 1980 to 1996.

Response to: People who dont post anything. Posted July 22nd, 2010 in General

I only hate when people make accounts and just let them sit there for years (that's right, YEARS) and they have absolutely nothing there. No submissions, no news, no BBS posts, no reviews, no blams, no saves, no experience points, no favorites, etc. Just a completely blank account. That I could understand getting pissed at.

Response to: Garageband songs on Newgrounds? Posted July 22nd, 2010 in Audio

Dude, have you thought about NOT using GarageBand drumloops and instead possibly making your own drumloops or playing the drums yourself or have a friend play them?
(Note: It's probably not a good idea to use the GarageBand drumkits to make your loops, since they're used in most of the premade loops. I think.)

You suck at posting, '10er. Don't come to fucking GENERAL for help on these subjects. Post in Programming or Flash for this shit, don't make us read your stupid-ass conversational flailing.

Hey, I'm a noob, what are ya gonna do. Found this page with Google, searching for a conversion thing way back. (I now know it's not possible.) But thanks for the advice though.

Best Free Sf2 & Vst Player/exporter Posted July 20th, 2010 in Audio

Okay, I need some help here. I already have a program (SynthFont) for exporting MP3s using the VSTs and soundfonts, but the resulting quality kinda sucks. Anyone know a good FREE SF2 and VST player that will export MP3s with good quality? Please?

Response to: Uploading .gmk Games/Files Posted July 19th, 2010 in General

(sarcastically) Wow you guys are a shitload of help.
1. Stop hating on Game Maker. The results are only shitty if you're a complete noob. You are fully capable of coding functions for stuff to make it work well.
2. READ THE ABOVE REPLIES. There's NO POSSIBLE WAY to convert EXE OR GMK to SWF. (Okay there is for GM6, but the result is shitty.)
3. I just wanted some references to some resourceful Actionscript help so I can re-code everything from my game to Flash project. Jeez you guys suck at helping.

Response to: Uploading .gmk Games/Files Posted July 18th, 2010 in General

Okay, I know you guys are gonna want to kill me for this, but here goes...
I've done the research through all these forums, and I already know there's no way to convert gmk to swf... (what idiot thought of exe to swf?) ...but I got the code basics down for my game (a well-working Sonic game, might I had), and I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to point me to a resourceful flash actionscript functions definitions type thing. So I can figure out a way to change the functions from the file so that they work with actionscript.
Note: I'm not stupid enough to try to convert the gmk to swf. I'm going to make a flash project to simply copy-and-paste my code and alter it as need be.
And don't be redundant by calling me a noob. I'm already well aware of the fact.

Response to: Awaiting Audio Approval? Posted July 17th, 2010 in Audio

Dude, relax and wait it out. The audio mods just gotta make sure you didn't break the rules on your first submission. After that, you're pretty much good to go. Could take from a week to a month, but so long as you uploaded stuff that's yours, it'll show up after approval. Subsequent submissions should be there right after uploading (to my knowledge, at least.)

Response to: Awaiting Audio Approval? Posted July 17th, 2010 in Audio

Sorry to sound like yet another NG Audio noob, but I've waited about two weeks (I know, it's not much), and I saw I wasn't banned (uploaded a second song to check). Haven't been approved either, but I understand the wait...
