Sorry for the double post, but I just wanted to be more clear about my question.
On our 16FX, we have 13 inputs (2 Vocals, 2 Guitar, Bass, Keys, 7 Drums). I want each of these channels to have their own separate channel in the FL Studio mixer (or in any other DAW, I'm willing to learn something new if it suits my situation better).
My band has a Peavey 16FX Mixer, and I use FL Studio for production. How could we integrate the FX16 mixer channels into seperate channels on FL?

"Play live"
Ignorant cunt.
He's not being ignorant, because if you knew anything about deadmau5 (who is my inspiration) , you'd know he's not a DJ, so congrats you ignorant cunt lol. Theres many live electronica-based musicians who are most definitely not DJs.
Let me say that I DO NOT WANT TO DJ. I wanted to last year, but really just mixing my songs into one another doesn't really seem that cool to me. I like deadmau5's stuff cause he manipulates the songs live and uses triggers with the monome so he can control what he wants to do.
I guess I didn't word my question enough. I understand that the best gear won't make my tracks sound any better, and I know how to master someone decently. I'm more trying to understand how to actually PERFORM live once I get said tracks down without just pressing the play button on my laptop, and also without having much latency, distortion, etc.
Hey guys
Short Story:
I want to produce and perform electro house music live, all I have is a decent computer and FL Studio. What else should I invest in?
Long story:
My tunes lack the quality that club musicians have, but over the next summer, I will really be buckling down and getting into some heavy production. I have the necessary computer power and FL Studio, but are there better alternatives, and is there some brilliant external soundcards, midi controllers, etc. that I should be looking to invest into.
I'm leaning towards doing electro/progressive house tracks. I would like to start performing live, so I would also like to know what I should be investing in for live performance as well. I want it to all be computer driven, but I don't know how I would play live other than just pressing play, or spending thousands on a setup like Deadmau5's.
Thanks
Casey

Just invest in some fancy-looking desktop PC.
I'd just run partition, get paralels, and install Win XP

I already have a sound card that supports 7.1 audio and have a nice pair of sennheisers.
I used to produce tracks on FL Studio 7 a couple years ago, but stopped for reasons that I don't even know. I want to get back into it, but I hear that Logic Pro Studio is much better than FL Studio. I have no experience with it, but I might go as far as spending nearly two grand on an iMac just to run it. Obviously I will be doing much more than music production on the iMac, but that is going to be its main purpose.
What I want to know, is it worth the money buying the iMac, or will I be disappointed in Logic Studio? Also, if you have Logic, what do you think of it?
