For "Tea Rex" you can download singles for free, but the entire collection in one DL is a dollar. (I made it this way so you can read the theme for every song, thats what made this tape special).

I have a few written battles, a few written songs on here, but the only track I have on here I recommend has some issues. I got that Heels Over Head on the first take the middle verse, and the end could be re-done if your looking for quality.

but I'm gonna ask some questions that I think you should of addressed in your first post:

Where are you going to release the music? (itunes/beatport etc.)
How much are you releasing tracks for? and what percentage do you take? (I know it says in an earlier post but I don't understand the 'up to' stuff)
What rights are you going to have over the music?
Have you ever released anything in the past?
How many followers etc. have you got that you are going to publicise the music to?
will you be arranging mastering?

and you don't really have to answer this one but I always find it useful to hear who the other artists signed up are to hear their quality

so yeah good luck with the label hope it goes well :)
If you check all his pages (SoundCloud, Facebook, etc.) he has only about 8 followers total across all of the platforms combined. Seems like a kid with a dream, rather than a legit label, in my opinion. I get the impression he needs the music more than the music would need him.

For anyone considering getting involved, I'd be a bit careful, ask a lot of questions, and get everything agreed upon in writing. Could get sticky pretty quick, otherwise.

I am interested but I don't want to get wide eyed for no reason. He denied me at first, and then after I sent him some live work he accepted me.

Joining Fuego would mean a few things
> We can use your music (with your permission) in our sets.
> We can upload your music onto YouTube, SoundCloud and/or Newgrounds.
> We can get up to 25% of any money made on your tracks published through Fuego.
And in return, you get:
> Publicity, by appearing in sets, and our social accounts.
> You can release new tracks onto Fuego Records
> You can get up to 90% of any money made on your tracks published through Fuego.
There are numerous ways of publishing and submitting tracks through Fuego.
PUBLISHING MUSIC
- An "ID" teaser. This means a 10-45 second teaser with no name will be uploaded. There may be a release date published. Your track will then be uploaded with your name in the title at a certain date.
- A normal teaser. This means a 30-90 second teaser with your name will be uploaded. The release date will also be published.
- No Teaser. The track, with no teaser or world premiere will be uploaded to our accounts.
- World Premiere. The track will be fully used in a set, for the first time ever with no previous uploads to ANY YouTube, Soundcloud or Newgrounds accounts.
SUBMITTING
- You can link us to a private SoundCloud or YouTube uploaded with a download link.
- You can send us an email with the track attached.
- You can send us the track on Skype [fuegouk] [joseph.pym]

Thanks again,

Thanks man, I appreciate that. I definitely had too much on the go this time around too, haha. What a crazy year.

I spent my summer starting a programming business. That's doing well, I've been making websites and mobile apps for people. Once September hit though things went crazy. I'm in my last year of a computer science degree, and I also found myself an owner of a small art gallery in Edmonton. We put on wine and cheese art shows, concerts, private parties, etc. We actually throw a good number of hip hop shows. They got a couple shots of it in this music video. 3:50ish is good. That place with the white walls and paintings is my new home.

I still have lots of Clabtrap plans. It's good that other people are getting things rolling too. We've got a good community of artists up here and everyone has to keep on building, keep on battling.

Can I throw a show at your art gallery? Cut me a door deal and, I can help provide you with some wine to sell. Lets put on like an Alberta vs BC rap show as well if we can. IMO do a live clabtrap while your at it. :D

I've done two live gallery shows on at 437 Hastings, and then on 882 E. Hastings I did a show for 18 months straight I hosted. I love private functions :D

Hmmmm, Scrufizzer's buzzing right now, but I'm not sure his stuff will endure like Wiley's early stuff has. In any case, people loved Wiley cause he was grime's LL Cool J, he could make some innovative gangsta ass shit and then make a party tune, keeping it balanced. Lot of dudes were more lyrical than him, from Buggsy to Devlin.

Yep. There have already been so many delays and DQs that, personally, my interest in this thing died down a lot. I guess I shouldn't speak for others, but I feel this tournament lost its steam. Better to end it sooner.

Last year's. tournament was much better.

I wrote 50 times more for this years tournament, and ended up freestyling. I think last year's tournament felt different for sure, but I liked this year. I got what I wanted out of it, entertainment, and the feeling of wanting to improve which is why I battle. I can't speak for we, but I think we all grow off this in theory at least.

You should release an acapella version because, no offense to the beat maker but, it sounds like its ringing throughout the entire song and its cancer inducing. But Black Moses should probably win Clabtrap 2013 if my calculations are correct.

At 9/6/13 08:33 AM, Breed wrote: Tuning has gone up and up over time. The chicago symphony orchestra for example uses 442 tuning currently. Now 440 might be a standard for manufacturers of tuners but the effect of changing the tuning on a particular song is going to by a song by song basis in regards to whether or not it will actually benefit the piece. To say it will increase the intensity of the music itself is a misnomer and is dependent more on the sounds contained within itself rather than the tuning.

Long story short, it really doesnt matter. To change the master pitch of a piece after its finished is to throw away any careful work that may have been done with EQs as well as any other frequency based effects. Chances are actually more likely that you will reduce the quality of the track than anything.

If you change the pitch before creation of the song then you have to ensure that any plugins being used for sounds in the production are actually effected by the pitch change (which is supported differently accross different DAWs), which if they dont could limit your options in terms of creation, or in other cases add extra steps to the production process to get them to work.

I dont really see anything cool about 432 tuning, but if you want to at least reference a darker area you could go as far as Baroque tuning of 420. That would be both a historic reference, and a pothead reference. Seems more like a win to me that way.
Bingo. This is exactly my point in my blog post here- it's irrelevant. Music will continually get "moodier" the lower you make it and continually get "brighter" the higher you make it. This is why Eb Major sounds different from Bb Major in intensity. You might as well just write everything in B Major instead of C Major or whatever and that'd essentially do the exact same thing changing the root of the key is- thanks to Equal Temperament, it's irrelevant where you start your scale. Tuning down a semitone is the exact same as changing down a semitone in key and always will be as long as ET is the primary temperament.

As for .mp3 man, that's a mixed idea. First, a lot of people hang out here (myself included) don't have 100 mbps internet speeds required to stream .wav (those two words really shouldn't be next to each other anyway... XD). Newgrounds is in effect a music streaming service. For this reason, you need to take the consumer into account, not yourself. Second, if you've ever used normal consumer speakers/headphones, you'll know that there's no difference between a 320kbps .mp3 and a uncompressed .wav with those things- most people are content enough even with 128kbps .mp3 through cheap earbuds that have zero bass, so stop acting like a snob about .mp3 files- they have a very important role in the modern music business that .wav/.flac are still simply too large and unweildy to even participate in.

Oh, and soundcloud auto-converts your files to 192kbps .mp3 without telling you. I bet you didn't know that. No streaming service in their right mind would ever publish raw .wav/.flac files for streaming purposes- it'd destroy their bandwidth.

All in all man, do your research before you take up radical tenents like this. Breed, myself, and dozens of other composers on this forum take the time to learn how music works and thus see the intrinsic flaws (or complete misunderstandings) present in this argument, which I have already outlined in my newspost and Breed has seemed to echo here independently. Just remember dude, 90% of New Age thinking is just people trying to make a buck from sounding educated. Some scam artist in the early 2000's probably dug up some Nazi stuff and dug up some stuff about some random person using c256 from before Equal Temperament when it might have perhaps lined up with 432 and tried to make a cause out of it he could sell to musicians knowing it was complete and utter bogus and that he had no knowledge of even basic high school physics.

Look up the "people" who write the "sources" you use to support this and let me know if they sound reliable or not. Do they have PhD's in Music or in Creative Writing? ;)

Please think on what I have said and what Breed has said before saying anything. We are both educated and experienced musicians who have spent years writing music, working with clients, and learning about the orchestra and music in general (well, that's breed really, I've only been doing it a fraction of the time he has). Realizing you have been brainwashed doesn't mean you are wrong- it just means someone took advantage of you in the name of fame or fortune or what have you.

What fame or fortune? There is impetus on the banking cartels to make their chattel sick to make money. There is more evidence in my corner I feel then what you are saying. Yes the prussian education reinforces itself but no it doesn't mean its true.

Why would I make this up google Tavistock Institute, google Rockefeller Foundation and then research it they DID change it. There is other conspiracies regarding how the Beatles were an invention.

I always thought SoundCloud converted the files to 128kbs and even normalized it in certain cases. You can hear a ton of distortion on SoundCloud, a scary amount in fact, which is due to the low streaming quality. Music on Newgrounds actually sounds better, in my experience.

Not really I use the ripper it depends on the source. Some stuff is low as 64 sometimes I get 224 variable but never 320 constant. NG is a constant 160 it sounds like but with downloads as high as 320 under 22MB (ungraded from 15MB I do notice).

I would like to PAY to have the option to upload WAV to other PAYING customers on the site. Fuck the general public then.

Otherwise its back to bandcamp/soundcloud. Anyone know a free alternative?

Thanks for the far less Nazi thread than before.
And here is another track in 432kHz, why are you brainwashed by the system that made you think you right but why is my explanation wrong? The more I read into it the more I feel with my gut that this education system is made to instutionalize yourself where as I just want less stress inducing music for my listeners once I'm dead.

I know I smoke a ton of pot but this is so much more relaxing then the modern Klaas remix which as much as I love gives me a headache to hear after spinning an hour+. And I can notice the diff between a max mp3 and a wav or level 10 FLAC any day. I have a decent enough pair of cans where I can hear the sound artifacts clearly. I just uploaded.

In the background of this track around 3:30 listen to the sample 'hint hint, hint hint'. I don't feel the same way when I hear the original but on this 432 cut of the entire EP from 1990 it feels like a much more radiating feel. Maybe its just the WIFI.

Continue the discussion I say. If you are right as you think or say you are then you wouldn't feel bad about convincing me because so far your just telling me 'I have an education thus I am right' WRONG I don't trust the education system so give me a better reason.
