Hey guys, I didn't know where else to go besides you geeks (I'm one too), but I need a program to help control my cpu output.

You see, I have an 17" HP pavillion, it's old and has one big 3.0 ghz core. The thing about the core is that it's always running on full power, which sucks my battery and also overheats the computer in a jiffy. My fans are always on, and they don't seem to be working that well.

Is there any program out there that would manage my cpu speed and make it only .5 ghz when there's not much going on, and to go all the way up to 3.0 ghz when there's a lot of stuff to be processed?

I've googled around for a cpu controlling software but I can't find any that look legit or that would accomplish what I'm trying to do. I'm running windows xp.

From what I've heard, the movie is about a guy in hell, and apparently he's in some sort of room, my friend said it was white, and it had no windows or doors. He was able to select some weapons, and then these zombie-like demons things or something come to rip him apart...

I've heard it from multiple people, but do any of you know what the hell I'm talking about?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Thing is, I'm not sure if defragmenting would fuck shit up, you know?
If I did that, would I lose any files? This isn't exactly MY computer, so I don't want to risk anything.

Whenever I install a game and then restart my computer later (after playing the game and everything is fine), the computer slows down tremendously. This happens with KOTOR and Jedi Outcast II (I have an older computer, lol).

This slowness occurs with both internet explorer AND Firefox. I have Norton, do you think that has anything to do with it? I figured I should ask Newgrounds, since y'all are geeks.

If you use a program to run pc on a mac, and you set it to take some ram, and then you quit the program... Will that ram always be reserved even if you delete the os of the pc? I was in the middle of installing xp on some hard drive, and then I allocated 1g of ram to the os of xp when I began using "Virtual Box". Is that RAM gone now? I deleted the os through virtual box, but everything is really slow now. Do I delete virtual box and it's entirety to free my ram back?

I'm not very good with Macs... Obviously.

I have this anatomy and physiology class, and she's making us choose some random novel or book that has something to do with anatomy and physiology. I can't fucking think of anything and it's really pissing me off. Do any of you out there have any suggestions?

It can be about a man on an island surviving or something, something that deals with the body... I just have no clue what to pick.

So, this stuff called superfood is amazing. It tastes so freakin' good even though it looks like cat barf. You guys should try it, even though it's a little expensive. It's like a substitute for breakfast... I don't have enough time in the morning to make food, so I take a few gulps and have some caffeine.

I mean, you could always make a smoothie, but this shit is good.
