ME3's ending was brilliant, quit complaining.
To expand upon things and this character was born with a medical condition that caused her to live a sheltered childhood. Cause of said sheltered childhood she has had minimal social interaction thus having a hard time relating or interacting w/ others. Furthermore she is part of a minority that suffers from political, religious and social persecution. Given the reasons in the story it is somewhat understandable why that minority group suffers from said persecution, but the character is disconnected from those which bring about said persecution.
Now because she is lonely w/ little friends cause of her shyness and persecution, she has a desire to be part of the society that persecutes her. Even though she is lonely and has a desire to make friends, she also resents the same social group she wants to be a part of because the way they and the government treat her. She also resents herself a little bit for her social short comings because she isn't able to relate to those in society.
The point we pick up with this character in the story she has given up on society and is slightly bitter because of how they have treated her. Throughout the story I want to use her negative past as a means to bring about certain positive/negative character development as she encounter various situations and is exposed to different things.
Some of the themes in my story have to do with creation and destruction and the forces or the unknown around that whole process. I plan on having this character's back story play into that theme. The corruption of society, effects of persecution, and brutality of war are a few other themes I plan on exploring.
My main problem I think is trying build sympathy w/o turning off the reader making her out to be an innocent mary-sue sorta stereotype or seem spoiled/overly emotional in any sorta manor.
This is gonna be brief cause I am about ready to leave for work, so I will put more detail into a later post. Anyhow the main character for this story I'm working on, is a character I want the readers to empathize with. To sum things up she doesn't function very well in normal everyday society, this is due in part to her shyness/social awkwardness/public homophobia. So basically in the story we are at the point where she wants to get away from it. And from there I plan on having her past experience shape her character in relation to her current setting.
Question is how do I build sympathy for her w/o making her into a Marry-Sue?
I don't even know why this is an issue.
How is The Pirate Bay any different from the public library?
Sure today it is not socially acceptable and does stagnate the gene pool, but back in the day when humanity was few and just starting out it prolly happened all the time due to the small population size. What say you?

Maybe I'm just a fanboy that can't stand ME3 not being the symbol of perfection that the other two were, but I just find it hard to get into.
I actually preferred ME3 to ME2. For all it's flaws at least ME3 has a story. ME2 was just filler w/ bland corridor shooting levels and uninteresting characters and music. Suicide Mission was great though,
The Feds can ban all the guns they like, there will still be shootings and violence like Sandy, Clackamas, VT and Columbine.

I use FRAPS for all my stuff, so I'm really not educated enough to point you in the right direction. I'm not aware of too many free alternatives.
I can't remember, probably either EarthSiege 2 (precursor to the Tribes series) or Orcarina of Time.
Mass Effect 2 and 3 are sorta love/hate for me, there are things I love about it and things I hate. Personally I prefer the first game, but that is just me.
The elephant in the room is the endings, a previous poster said it is an "artsy" ending, which is very true. Even though the events that happen during the final mission are full of plot-holes, the original endings are pretty solid. They wrap things up neatly, and slightly ambiguously in under 3mins (which is pretty impressive given all the characters and story arcs). Yet I think the problem the endings is that 1) players are too attached to their character to let go w/o a long well put together prologue 2) the choices that you are given are quite out of the blue and sorta silly 3) players had insanely high expectations coming in and 4) is that the final mission leading up to the ends already broke the player's suspension of disbelief (which is important for scifi stories) and are thus not willing to accept the endings.
If you want my opinion, play it without Extended Cut DLC installed, they are better that way.
I was ranting on the Fable forums about how Peter never completes anything he says. Then BAM! My Xbox Live account was HACKED! I called up Microsoft and they said who ever was hacking it lived in Europe! There for it must be Peter Molyneux! Cause who else lives over there?!?!
Then later that day I got a email, it said if I didn't pay 500 Microsoft Points I would never get my account back. Further more it gave a list of consequences regarding what would happen if I didn't pay with in 24 hours!
Consequences, such as he would come defecate on my lawn and steal my stash of magazines from under my mattress!
He also threatened me with his revolutionary ideas, so i'm positive Peter Molyneux is behind it!
Because you have the trial version buddy. Your gonna have to purchase the full product, don't download from the Pirate Bay cause half of the torrents are broken and don't work and have viruses.
I think the question we really all should be asking is "Should we marijulize legalana"?
OP is obvious anit-semite.
Humans will never be "civilized".

Exactly my point. If they are already in combat zones, why not let those willing and able to fill the role of being of being in a dedicated squad do so.
The Fiscal Cliff is an imaginary talking point, nothing more. Sure were are in debt, sure it will prolly catch up to us and bite us in the ass someday. But I'm just not convinced it will create world changing financial havoc like everyone is saying just quite yet. Either China or some other country will buy up more US debt cause they don't want to see the dollar deflate, or we will gradually become something resembling the Wiemar Republic. btw John Boner and Obama are both hacks.

As far as I'm concerned, there should be no limits on what two consenting adults do in their private life, as long as it doesn't harm anyone else.
Unfortunately, politicians here in America don't see things that way...
Funny, I don't remember creating this thread. But yeah, i here yah. Personally I don't agree with gay marriage, but I don't think it is terribly loving or kind for that matter to impose your views on another human. But then again politicians do it all the time.
Don't women already serve in combat? (Wait, rhetorical question, think about it)

Take electric cars for instance, currently electric cars are quite costly to produce in terms of labor and supplies. There are also various performance issues as manufactures work out the kinks, look at the Volt recall recently. Plus the components used are quite bad for the environment.
Sure at some point we will run out of oil, and hopefully by then solar, wind and tidal power will be able to pick up the slack. But until then don't you think it would be smart to drill for oil off our shores or what have you to lower the price and all that while investing more so in nuclear, solar, tidal, wind as well as other new forms of energy?Drill off shore is more expensive so is stealing oil. Nuclear power is bad news have you not learned yet. Solar panels require oil to produce as well they have a finite life span, tidal power seems like a great plan as well as wind power production.
I haven't thought about the finite lifespan of solar panels, but like you said we use oil in solar panels and we use oil for a lot of other things also. We use oil for tires, plastic bags, plastics, etc. I just think we should drill while we develop viable means of renewable clean energy and make the changes needed.
One form of energy which seems promising is geothermal, but idk as I need to read up more about it. :)

Work on some basic proportions and then some lighting and shading. After that just some continual general drawing practice.
Perhaps you should post some of your sketch work.
If I see something in front of me I can sketch out the lines and details semi-decently, but what I really struggle with is conceptualizing something and understanding how depth and shadows apply to something which I don't have a reference to go by.
It isn't a sketch, but I think proportions are better. This was done while back in GIMP, since then the characters outfit has become less skanky. I tried to work with shadows and lighting, but it didn't work out that well.
This is a early character concept for a story i'm working on. Since then I have made her less skanky. Please no faping. If y...

So i did these doodles, I was wondering if you could take em and recreate them in your style.

If you even call it that? More closer to a doodle then anything else. Anyhow the following are early character concepts for a story i'm working on. I was going for an art style more similar to adventure time. The story is suppose to be a futuristic gritty/exotic space war/adventure story, featuring loads of humor. deep philosophical themes, violence, sex, character development and space lesbians.
I can't figure out how to post images. :(

I would disagree with you to a certain extent cause both parties are so well invested in their candidates you would need a substantial sum of dough to have a viable campaign.
That said, I was just thinking about this the other day. Like a true grass roots campaign, how awesome would it be if america elected some average middle class american instead of some socialite or political ass hat.
