i thought the fact that it's incredibly crudely drawn was funnier than the joke itself, it made me chuckle, it also reminded me a good bit of Cyanide and Happiness
you need to define and add more detail into the actual robot, it just looks like part of the shapes in the background, if this wasn't in a thread that said what it was, no one would really know what it was, it's not bad, just could still use alot of work, if your going to have things blurry, you need to have something defined to be the main focus of the composition, so i would go in and sharpen up the robot and add more detail into it, so it's more than just a blurry grey and black shape with red light coming out of it.
like i said, it's not bad, i just think it's a ways away from being finished
*incredibly shameful bump*
thats such a good idea, and it looks damn cool, i've been thinking about lately trying to so a sculpture like some of my characters, would be kinda hard but would be fun, i would need to find clay or something and not be lazy
The baby one is cool, but i didn't think it was as realistic as some of his other sculptures
on the subject of Muek, (sorry if i misspelled)
his sculptures are amazing, he had a show at the Andy Warhol Museum a little bit ago and i went to go see it, to see photos of his work is one thing, but to be standing next to a 10 foot tall photorealistic woman sitting in bed, or a foot long man sitting in a boat, it's really surreal, i kept waiting to see them breather or blink or just get up and walk away, it's really almost creepy but amazing
i'd recommend everyone to see his work in person if you get the chance
heres another one, still just a rough sketch, i'm trying to work out an idea i have for a painting, i want something really big and distracting comeing out of his back, but that looks really cool, so you don't notice the boy at first, any ideas? i could use some help, coming across a block on this one
Hey, sorry for not updating in awhile, heres two new drawings, trying to branch out into bodies and such and get out of this rut i'm in with faces
Fetus, if your see this, sorry for taking so long to update, it's been kinda a crazy couple of days for me, been having family trouble and haven't gotten a chance to post these, but i hope you like my work!
and Avoe, haven't talked to you in awhile but heres a girl for you, think she turned out pretty well anotomy and shading wise, i'm pretty pleased with it, hopefully it'll help you out
most likely the last one in this scribble frenzy
this is the final product of the night

anyways, I really love all of your art, but I think the subject matter you are drawing/painting is starting to get repetitive.
yeah, if subject matter you mean the faces, then yes it's very repetitive, but because most of this is all art done when i'm bored or doodles, i doodle faces, i have some things that are a little better, i'll try and get pictures and post them and such, maybe i'll post some things i already posted that are a little different
plus heres an update on the scribble, anime person gave up and left so i improved it, thought it was funny so i post it here for your viewing pleasure
another fling with iscribble, guess which one is mine
pretty cool design, id drop the dinosaur in the corner, i'd leave it that fluid mess of doodles that goes from the bottom up to the right shoulder.
but really cool, are you going to silk screen it or paint it on?
real fucking good for done in iscribble, you should post this up in the scribble thread though
most of your stuff is pretty cool, i honestly think the lack of lines suits your style, the softer edges help embrace the simplistic nature to most of your characters, and give them more of a smooth graphic style, i'd stick to the lineless
all in all pretty cool stuff :)

thank you! i'm just happy someone other than me posted in this thread.
but i love bright colors, makes a fun almost contradiction with the somewhat grotesque characters i like to draw, i think it adds a small sense of humor to something that could easily be dark and creepy
and heres my pretty sorry attempt at a shading an value exercise
you cover the paper in black charcoal and go into it with a kneaded eraser and white charcoal to draw the hand, it's to put emphasis on shadow and minute value, think the thumb area and it leading up into the hand looks decent, not so much on the rest, need to make it much smoother
and your not supposed to outline anything, but it's my habit and i didn't like it without so the white outline went in!
oh well, i give up on trying to get people to comment or suggest, i'll just keep posting stuff for anybody who randomly feel like checking this out
i've been trying to improve my anatomy, my two weakest parts are the hands and feet, started to draw hands first, easier to look at my hand during school than my foot
so these are the first round of hand practice, each drawing took between 5-10 minutes, hoping to drop that time down alot and clean it all up
alright, one last one, close up on his hand, he's holding his heart, the blood drips will help keep his arm standing up
alright i'm tired as hell time to go to sleep, hopefully this'll get people to post, i still would like some criticism on my wood painting, i think i'm going to add a neck to him in the near future, who knows
please comment! I love meeting new people and talking about art and getting suggestions, so please feel free to say something
heres a close up on the body, kinda proud of the pants, think i did a pretty decent job on detail with his lower body
but heres just a better look because the full one is kinda blurry
And this is for another project i'm going to do, i just finished doing this art show (turned out lame, didn't like it) with a bunch of kids for my work, part of it involved making these foamboard standees, like the ones they put famous actors or like starwars shit on, printed on cardboad with a "foot" in the back to make them stand up.
i liked the idea and we have a bunch of foamboard left over, so i was going to make one of my character, it's gonna be like 4 feet tall and 8 feet long, should be sweet
sorry for crappy quality, for this one and actually all the drawings, i don't own a scanner so it's all on my shotty digital camera
well this is gonna be an epic multi-post on my part, but it's my thread and i can't be blamed for people not posting on here
but i haven't posted in awhile, but heres the first half of what i'm probably going to submit for this mural competition, it puts me in the judging for who gets to paint this 5 x 30 foot mural by the Andy Warhol Museum in pittsburgh, it'll be cool if i get it, gotta make a preliminary painting first though
but yeah here it is
come on no comments? i thought it turned out okay, i would really like the critisism, whats it take to get people to comment in here, it's like i have the plague
damn cool, but i would make some of the lines more crisp to define it a bit more, the whole things a bit of a blur. I would make the glass have sharper crisper edges (its broken glass, make it look sharp and solid) and i would make the flower a little crisper to, so it doesn't mesh in with the background.
plus i'd make it more obvious that the flags in the glass, just looks like blurred colors for effect to me, but thats probably partly because i have no fucking clue what malaysias flag looks like
and one so you have an idea of how tall it is, i'm about 6 feet tall so yeah...
heres one a little closer
Finished the painting, turned out kinda cool, kinda in a blah mood so can't get excited about it, i'll be happy about it later, to tired right now. Please critique, can't improve until i know what wrong
thats really cool, i like it alot, love the colors
cool stuff, i like your art, the ribbon arms on your interpretation of god is pretty cool, i like the idea
and i wanted to add i think you have my favorite sig on newgrounds
I love the neck and body, head cool in all but the bodie and neck are like perfectly grotesque, kinda jealous, i wish i could distort and such as well as you
haha one of my best friends tagged "Scope" when he first started, it was toy as shit, but it was a start
I would work on the K, looks to much like an H, at first glance i thought it was SHOPE
