Well there's your problem right there. If you want to draw, than learn to actually draw. Start doing observational studies and figure drawings, and learn the basics of value and shading Then if for some incredibly stupid fucking reason you still want to draw anime, you can pull from the skills you've already taught yourself (or better yet have taken a few classes on) and use them to draw in that style.

Art-Is-Truth I'm not going to pass it only because the only real drawing done was basically tracing, you can work from reference but don't trace. I'm sure you can do much better :)

Art-Is-Truth Not that i don't like your piece, but what exactly did you draw in it? I know the background is stock and the image looks like it might have just been traced or something and reflected. Just want to know what all you actually drew before i let it go ;)

This was done to go behind a show called the "Vader Show", where a blank vader helmet was sent to pretty much the who's who of the pop art world, many of which were favorite artists of mine (Gris Grimly and Buffmonster to name a few). And i got to have art hanging with them!!

Take it easy fluff, don't accuse him of stealing without proof, and i don't think there's a significant enough difference in art style between the pieces. Every artist experiments with multiple mediums, i personally use anything i can get my hands on.

And on that note i really like some of your work, not all too crazy about your more "realistic" work, but i love your cartoons. I'm right with you with having an abundance of art on my computer, i have stuff from years ago that i'm rather embarrassed about, keep posting more work!

cypressdahlia you do some awesome MSpaint work, so it'll go through. But if you want to do a hand drawn submission you can do what i did and draw it on something, scan it, then just plop it into the background with photoshop or something.

If anyone wants hand-drawn art i can help you out. I just don't know much about flash and all that. But i have experience with hand-drawn animation. If anybody wants to try and incorporate that into a game drop me a line.
