That's not an accident. Our model indeed had a shorter neck, and from the perspective I was looking at her you really can't see her neck. I did notice that it looked weird though, but her chin is like almost resting on her chest.
Another WIP from my figure drawing midterm. Still need to make some adjustments, might get rid of the floating ghosts in the back. Again sorry for shitty quality, taken with camera phone.
Anybody else get the email about the upcoming patch? They're basically fixing everything that was frustrating me about the game.
Gameplay
* Overhauled tuning of multiple weapons of all types (see "Weapon" section below)
* Improved speed of weapon and gear swapping by approximately 500 milliseconds.
* Fixed bug in SVER's Aralkum Mechanical Acquisition map and Absheron Refinery Domination map that allowed players to defuse a charge planted on a repaired gate or door.
* Added a "solid tone" sound effect near the end of a charge's beeping detonation timer so that players know when the charge can no longer be defused and that they should vacate the area.
* "Medium Improved" Armor now works as intended with the speed properties of Medium Armor and a defensive value greater than Medium, but less than Heavy Armor.
* Changed resuscitated player's camera orientation to match the last camera direction used while incapacitated instead of the pre-harm camera.
* Players no longer lose XP if a teammate is killed by an objective explosion caused by a charge they planted.
* Respec Point requirements in Barracks have been changed from 3K, 5K, 10K, 17K, 26K, and 26K-Repeat to 1K, 2K, 3K, and 3K-Repeat.
* Lowered the amount of damage necessary to kill an incapacitated enemy
* All fired projectiles (RPGs, Turret Rockets) have been given a steadier aim.
* Mines that haven't been triggered are no longer removed from the map when the dead player that deploys them respawns unless that player changes their Loadout (note: The maximum number of mines you can plant cannot exceed the number you initially spawn with).
* Fixed bug that prevented "fully-resuscitated" players with more than 100 health points from receiving their full HP.
* Fixed bug that caused players to take unnecessary damage from both friendly and enemy vehicles when touching them.
* Players no longer lose leadership points after entering "Veteran Mode."
Weapons
* "From the hip" firing for Light and Medium machine guns have stronger recoil and are less accurate when moving.
* Tuned weapon damage for all three factions.
* Modified all short-ranged weapons (pistols, PDWs, shotguns, SMGs) so that they're less effective at long distances.
* Made Battle Rifles more effective.
* Reduced accuracy bonus for using iron sights and reflex sights so that players can no longer snipe with weapons that aren't intended to do so.
* Increased damage values for all rockets to make them more effective (ex: three rockets can now destroy a DE turret).
* Shooting through thin materials (fences, tents, etc.) will be more consistent.
* Increased spread on shotguns.
* Improved animations for rocket launchers.
Graphics
* Fixed bug that caused the recoil animation to end early or stop animating if a player was firing their weapon for a long period of time.
* Changed detonation time on smoke and poison gas grenades to prevent them from exploding in mid-air to eliminate unintended FX issues.
* Added realistic fogging effects to sky-domes.
Technical
* Fixed most conditions that caused players to be caught in a "respawn loop" which kept restarting the respawn queue when the countdown clock reached 0.
* Changed in-game conditions to make it less likely to experience in-game freezes.
* Improved client-side stability.

This is actually the first game I've played that's used quick time events in a way that is actually interesting, and does feel like you're involved with what's going on in the scene.

The beginning is very slow, but just like the rest of the game it does a really good job of making the most mundane things seem interesting. The musical score for the game really adds to the overall effect the game has.
Only got a chance to play it for an hour or so, but the movie lover inside of me and the game lover inside of me were having really hot sex.
Daily Double
Darkened up the text, add a big more grunge so the top wasn't so empty. Like it a little more now, still not sold though. Might play with it tomorrow a bit more.

MmK, I'll make the text darker. The 3d is deliberately very deep, and I'm trying to use very little textures, and splatter effects are a no no.
Quick idea for a logo for the design group Jessepants and I are working on getting off the ground with the help of a mutual friend.
Not sure if I like it or not, figured I'd post it anyway.

I'm pretty excited about it. Westerns to me are what dinosaurs are to TheMaster. It's looking like it'll most likely be my favorite game of the year.
The first game was okay, but I remember GUN being significantly better.
Don't really agree with that at all. GUN was really short and incredibly easy. The only thing GUN had going for it was that it was open world. In my opinion RDR beats GUN as far as story and gameplay go.

Ha ha you don't have to "earn the right" to post in here, anyone can. There's no rule about who can and can't post in a thread. We need new meat, don't run away.
Day 2 with no sleep, and thus begins my descent into madness.
Asking to be scouted is against the rules mmkay

On that note I am going to try and make it a habit to leave MSN open along with AIM, so those of you not cool enough to have AIM can chat me up on there if you'd like.
Here's a WIP of my midterm project for my figure drawing class. First of 3 models, still need to add fabric underneath of her and just overall clean up the shading.
Just like the last one i posted, this is another subtractive drawing. Covered the whole sheet with powdered charcoal and go at it with an eraser.

It's completely legit, and that's a reasonable price for a full size and functioning marble fountain. It's just too hardcore.

The drawing is cool, it's just way too light. I have the same habit, just tweaked it a bit to really make it pop.
hope you don't mind

Yeah, but "I am your caterpilla, I need your protection, be my ninja" isn't as catchy.
These guys are so much more cash than all of you.
saw this video and couldn't stop thinking about jonny

Aside from the one guy it's pretty much only been woman. Here's the only drawing I have with me that I actually like. It's a subtractive drawing that I have no intention of ever finishing, lol.
Once my teacher gives me back some drawings I'll post some more.
I can't help but feel like the Predator campaign should have been in 3rd person. The first person controls aren't a problem when dealing with humans, but when you're fighting aliens they just keep running in circles around you. Would be less disorienting in a 3rd person perspective, and could actually allow the Predator to have interesting weapon combat. They're supposed to be these masters of combat and such, yet you only really have 3 moves.

I never use MSN though, AIM's the best bet.

I'm going to ask you Captain-Ben to delete all these pink floyd posts including mines
I'm not a forum mod, I don't have the ability to delete posts. It's hard to believe you when you say you didn't trace, your drawing is almost identical to the two album covers. If you say you didn't trace them, then I believe you, but my feelings about the piece still stand. It's just too similar to the original album art. Like I said, you obviously have the ability to make a quality piece. Make something that doesn't look like it's been copied from somewhere.

Hmm yeah that's a little too similar for my taste. I'm not sold that he traced them, but they're just too alike. Sorry stixxx I'm going to have to take back the approval.
You have the skill to draw something cool and original, just do it :P

Ooops, didn't see the chicken before. I'm not as big of a fan of the chicken, think I'll pass on that one. The mouse one is really cool though, that one's in.
On the topic of this whole Pink Floyd debate, if anyone can supply comparative proof that it was just traced that would be appreciated. I apologize, I'm not a Pink Floyd fan so I didn't even recognize those as covers. Personally, as long as they aren't traced I don't see a problem with him submitting a Pink Floyd inspired piece.
Tracing IS lame though.
ps: J-QB that's real cool, approved.

Just want to clarify, so no one is angry. I don't think that it's bad, it is well made and good quality. It's just that the piece itself is really lame and boring. Having the ability to create something good is one thing, but you need to submit something that's interesting in some manner.
I don't think your piece is bad Shaun! By all accounts it's fine, it's just boring.
Captain-Ben! Late night avenger!
Better watch out!
I'll sneak into your room, make fun of you, and sleep on your floor!
