We don't think, we KNOW what's allowed/not allowed in the portal. It's our job. The problem wasn't that it's on notebook paper, it's that you were too lazy to crop out all the extra scanner space and make your piece nicer to look at.
Pieces that are especially poorly photographed or not cropped properly are always booted to your userpage. Nae was just being nice and giving you the chance to do it yourself instead of one of us doing it for you. You just chose to be a dick about it and make it a big deal.

I guess looking back I only really specifically hate the placement for the "mash" actions. I get used to looking for the flashing sides, then don't notice the little "O" in the corner telling me to break my circle button.

Don't really do any photography, but I do enjoy touching up photos. Was bored, hope you don't mind :P

Did I miss something? What's up with all this Aweso nonsense? Too cool to finish your words now, kids these days.
Just got done playing the GOW3 trailer, really liking the level of gore in it. Hating the quicktime events though, what's up with making me look around the sides of the screen?
The latest Heavy Rain patch supposedly fixed some screen tearing errors and camera issues, as well as make your game completely unplayable.
awesome

subtractive charcoal drawing, here's a pick to get an idea of scale.
laptop is 15 in.
Pretty shitty picture of my finished figure drawing midterm. Can't decide if I like it or not.

A ruler will always produce a cleaner, straighter line than if you just freehand it. I guarantee using a ruler is faster than freehanding it as well. Why take the time to practice doing it by hand when you can just use the tool that's meant for making straight lines?
To all you would be graphic designers out there, take this to heart.
Enough with the flaming.
He's admitted that he referenced that artists work, it's not tracing. End of story.
Do not post responding to me to defend yourself, I don't care. Drop it, and let him get on with his thread.
Stop acting like children and move on.
any more posts about him copying art or flaming him and I will talk to one of the BBS mods about bans.

That's shaping up really nicely. I would try and make it fade a little better into the background, something to make just the background stream and grass a little more interesting to look at.

A friend of mine in my dorm borrows my controllers all the time. So I like to just not resync the controller once he returns it to me and just periodically turn on his ps3, or keep pushing the menu button if it syncs as player 2.

I'm all for accepting this into the collab if it was the proper size requirement. Think you can take another picture of it and crop it to the right size?
Way too similar to one of ctrlaltd1337's pieces for my taste. I'm assuming it's what inspired this?

That's not really a bad thing, they cut out a lot of the interesting parts. They also completely fucked up the ending. The movie itself is alright and decent, but the last half hour of the movie is complete garbage.

How'd you get the head off? From what I could tell it wasn't removable, do you intend to put it back on?
Tweaked the logo a bit so it looks nicer and it's easier to read. Any final suggestions?

There's also a few art collabs/call for artists in the Collab Forum as well.
How about we be a little nicer to people.

So wait, do you want people to submit general art for your horror collab, or are you looking for someone to make preloader art for you?

At 2/26/10 03:23 PM, Im-A-Pirate wrote: My ps3 is feeling kinda hot in the back, should I get some kind of fan for it? Or is it just normal?
That's pretty standard for all consoles. Just don't keep it anywhere hot or against a wall, it needs to have space for the fans to work effectively. It really shouldn't be a problem, but if you're really worried than I guess pointing a fan at the back won't hurt anything.
However do NOT get an external fan for the ps3, they do more damage than they're worth. They're known for using up too much power and causing the internal fans not to work properly which can just lead to more overheating.

I've been wicked busy with school because midterms are coming up. Have 2 massive art projects due that I've been working like crazy to try and finish. So I haven't had much time to play videogames at all. I think the last time I played I was around level 43-45, don't remember exactly.
Probably won't play it until I get a chance to at least finish a 2nd playthrough of Heavy Rain.

They just released a patch that more or less fixed everything that anyone thought was wrong with the game. Also I wouldn't compare MAG to MW2 at all. The only thing they really have in common is that it's a FPS.
At 2/25/10 07:59 PM, Luxembourg wrote: What method are you using to make this piece, by the way?
Mentioned that earlier, it's a subtractive drawing using various forms of charcoal and a few different erasers.
