You sir, are 100% correct. Don't know why I have 90x90 in my head. Here's an updated template that is the proper size: duuump

This should be helpful to you guys. Here's a template I made for the audio icons: dumpydump

The image size is already 90x90, so just draw on top of it in another layer and delete the template when you're done. This should help you guys avoid things getting cut out by the area in the center.

It want to have the text ''Muss'' in it with red letters and a black/newgrounds grey background.
Is this possible? I would be very grateful :D
Hope you like it

Don't forget that there's a hole in the middle of the cd, some of that name might not be visible in the actual icon. I might try and make a template here at some point to help people out.

Audio Icon Makers Posted August 23rd, 2010 in Audio

Just plugging a thread that I recently put up over in C&C. Any of you talented musicians, who might not be so artistically inclined, can request to have someone make a swanky audio icon for you. Help get rid of all those boring icons that are all the same.

Hope to see some of you over there :P

lol, nope. This is not Icon modding, just doing something nice and providing a service for the not-so artistic musicians in the audio portal.

Response to: Art Forum Lounge Posted August 22nd, 2010 in Art

Just started a thread in C&C where audio artists can request for someone to make them an audio icon. If anyone would be interested in helping out with that they can keep their eye out on this thread.

Audio Icon makers Posted August 22nd, 2010 in Clubs & Crews

This thread offers a service to artists in the audio portal who don't have icons for their music. Here you can request for an artist to make an icon for you, based on whatever idea you might have for one.

This thread is mainly for audio icons only. If you want album art or anything like that you'd have better luck trying the Art Request Thread, and be prepared to offer up some cash.

To request an icon:

Just post in this thread that you would like an icon made, and give any specifics that you want the icon to have. Pretty simple.

For artists making icons:

Make sure to call dibs on whatever request you'd like to do. This way whoever is making the request knows who is working on it, and so multiple people don't end up working on the same request.

Once you've finished an icon upload it to dumping grounds and PM the file to the requester. Be sure to remember that the size restriction for icons is 46x46.

We don't take free requests here sir, try over at Sig Makers.

This also is not the place to complain about the art portal. If you have an issue with something going on in the portal PM a mod about it or something.

wasn't there a "no portal bitching" rule made awhile ago or something?

On the subject of the Portal Patrol thread, the reason we asked you guys to stop constantly suggesting people who needed to be kicked from the portal is because it was getting out of hand.

It sort of got to the same point that it was in this forum not too long ago. You guys would post a slew of people you didn't think should be in the portal before we would even have a chance to take care of it ourselves. I know for myself, most of the time I would prune a lot of the people you would flag before I even looked at the thread. We know you are all eager to help out, but as far as artists who aren't up to par we can take care of that.

We're all pretty good at our jobs. If someone needs to be removed from the portal one of us will notice and take care of it. One of the other issue's is that you guys would also post people who really didn't need to get kicked and were fine for the portal. If someone's still in the portal, chances are we saw them and think they're fine.

I'm not opposed to posting in that thread if someone truly atrocious keeps getting overlooked, I'm talking for like a week here not a few hours, and hasn't been kicked yet.

The Art Portal Patrol was made to be a place to bring issues to our attention that can't be conveyed in the flagging system. Things like impersonations, if you think someones a thief but can't find proof, someone gets hacked, or any other kind of grey area that isn't in the flagging system. I do oppose the idea of letting you guys suggest things to go on FP, it's kind of our privilege and I can see it getting out of hand very quickly.

There's a MASSIVE update in the works for MAG. For those of you that don't regularly follow the blog, you definitely need to go check it out, it's a little too much to post all of it here and there's pictures!

The important points is that there's a brand new beta being released in the PS Store on the 24th, that is available to anyone who already owns the game.

The new beta will help test out new features like a new game mode "Escalation." Escalation is a 94 player game, that involves all 3 PMCs fighting over resources on one map. It looks pretty sweet, it will be played on 3 new, faction neutral, maps. To read more about it look here.

Needless to say I'm pretty geeked about it all, should be awesome.

They are also adding in multiple character slots, and completely overhauling the skill/ability system. A new in game economy is being implemented, which will allow you to earn cash for getting kills and completing objectives, which you can use to spend on items, weapons, and other forms of customization for your character.

The skill tree is being expanded upon, and all skill will only require 1 point to buy. So every level you can get 1 new ability. They are adding new abilities and skills to the game, as well as changing the skill tree system to allow for more specialized play. To read more about this and see some screens of the new skill tree and supply depot, look here.

Spend your skill points in the medical class, which is the bottom-most slot on the skill page. Buy everything there. Once you get improved healing and resurrection, you can get like 30xp from fully healing someone in a frago, or an easy 20xp from resurrecting someone in a frago.

To get tons of points you pretty much have to play medic on top of whatever else you're doing.

At 8/18/10 12:20 AM, 31244 wrote: I level up fairly quick since healing other people gives you more exp than making kills so i mainly do field support!

If you want real points then you do both. 1000 points is my acceptable minimum for most game modes. If I have a good round I'll get somewhere between 1500-2000. Get around 20-30 kills and heal an ass ton of people.

It really comes down to whether your squad leader is a cock or not. If they're good about frago-ing objectives for your squad then you can make bank even if your team is losing, but if they don't frago anything it's tough racking up the points.

Really wish I still had a working headset so I was more elligible for leadership.

Generally when a clothing design has a "Design our new T-shirt" contest, there's more of a reward than YOU GET YOUR SHIRT. Getting a copy of the shirt you designed is generally a small bonus to an acceptable cash prize in the face of the money to be made off of the artists work.

Don't go about this like you are doing them a favor by printing their work, you are the one who will be making money off of this. Renaenae is showing her disapproval of this contest because the reward for the artist is overshadowed by the reward for you.

All of this would have been discussed with you had you gone through the proper channels and got approval from a Mod for this contest.

I'm still really enjoying mag, and they just announced on their blog about an insane amount of revisions and add ons that they're planning in the near future.
