Art101 has compiled a nice list of art programs ranging from free to pricey, so you might want to check that out. Next time you have a general question why don't you ask in the Art Forum Lounge, it's meant for stuff like this.

Oh oops sorry for the DP (not everyone's into that sort of thing) but i forgot to clarify ULTRA DRUMSTICK. I just thought it would be funny if we end up having sub bosses if one of them was just a drumstick that just sat there. You could really hype it up but than the actual "boss battle" is just you shooting at it for a minute, more of just an absurdly glorified blockage.

plus it's badass

As far as the background is concerned it's my understanding that it doesn't matter if it doesn't match up with art in other levels, part of this whole project is so it's a large mash up of different artists and styles coming together to create one badass game.

And MIND CONTROL SPERM is my suggestion for our levels main character. He controls the minds of lesser sperms to act as his "guns". They swim next to him and spit a dangerously sticky white goo. I don't know if it's okay with Bom or not, but I thought it would be cool that if you kill so many characters without getting hit/dieing a power-up is dropped that will award you another sperm/gun to help you. With lets say a maximum of 4 sperms/guns.

Just throwing ideas out there.

So how about you just don't post than?

There's nothing wrong with finding a style you like to work in and sticking with it. Line art is pretty cool, I'm digging what your showing so far. Would like to see some more work, maybe some that look like more thought out and completed pieces. Instead of just what looks like some doodles.

Not really concerned with space, it'll all be okay.

Me and Turkey were thinking it would be cool if the backgrounds were all hand painted, and have more computer drawn animations on top of it. It could give it a cool look.

How do you guys feel about this? Anyone opposed to me painting the backgrounds and such?

and on another note

I don't think we get shafted at all, it's just a different perspective than most of us (if not all of us) are not used to working in.

JUST MAKE IT WORK PEOPLE

Technically he did, but it consists of premade brushes and images just slapped together. And he didn't delete them, I did.

I would like to go on record saying that I would be wary of producing work for someone whose art consists of ripping images off of NG and slapping them onto stock backgrounds.

That's sounds like a bitch to animate. I think it would be really funny just to not even make it a real boss. Just like really hype it up, but it's just a plain chicken wing that doesn't even really attack the player. It just sits there and you just shoot the hell out of it to get past.

Can our sperm hero have a cigar in his mouth? Sorry I missed the meeting guys I was in Pittsburgh this weekend and didn't have access to a computer. I'm pretty bushed now, but I have a few concept sketches that I need to scan or take pictures of.

I dig the idea of nanotechnology overrunning the body, I'll try and draw something up with that in mind.

Are we going to have sub-bosses? Because I vote for fighting a chicken wing in his stomach (could be a half-way point).

I don't want anyone to be confused with my playful banter. I'm all for Turkey being team leader, he's off to a great start and he's probably not as lazy as me. I also thinks he pulls seniority as far as artistic experience goes.

and as previously stated, he has a massive stick

The trick for 5-2 is to stick to the right wall that you start by, and just sprint along it until you get to the 1st fog and subsequently solid ground. Once you get to that point you never have to go into the swamp again if my memory serves me right. Once you can get the bridge lowered, you won't have to go into the swamp even if you die.

I'm a big fan of death metal and pretty much all forms of metal, but I'm going to have to side with everyone else and say that was pretty bad. Vocals were weak and the instrumental was nothing special at all, but like you've said to each his own.

I know he is intentionally doing this, but isn't there something major that can be done to him other than just have his stuff removed, like complete Art Portal banning?

We have to contact an admin to get someone banned from the Art Portal. So we usually reserve those for repeat offenders or someone uploading cp or somthing.

Lava bow does less physical damage than the white bow, but it adds fire damage to all your arrows. Which makes it much more effective.

mm I'm getting to that point now too, I think it's 14k to upgrade which isnt too bad

lol it costs me around 45k to level up again.

Topic: Steam Using Crossover?

Posted: 11/04/09 03:28 PM

Forum: Video Games

I use steam through crossover right now, and it works very well with bigger titles like TF2 or L4D. They have a list of steam games that are known to work with crossover on their website, however it isn't restricted to just that list. It's pretty hit or miss whether or not a game will work with crossover if it's not on their list. For the most part I only buy games that have a demo, so I can download the demo and make sure that it works properly.

Crossover works pretty well, but I do find myself using fusion more times than naught for the game that I'd like to play.

What class are you again? At the point in the game that you are you should have some of the special weapons. At the very least grind a bit and get the Lava Bow, which by far destroys all the other bows.

And I've been meaning to get a few more spells, I just don't feel like spending the absurd amount of souls it takes for me to level up to upgrade my spell capacity.
