Topic: People smarter than you?

Posted: 11/20/09 09:58 AM

Forum: General

I don't think so highly of my intelligence. I think I'm somewhat smart, but there are plenty of kids in my school that are smarter than me. There's school smarts, everyday smarts, and just smart smarts, and they all beat me at it. I do think I'm more musically smart then any other kid though, because I write my own solos, and I'm in a band, and so on, but that doesn't really matter in this society of watered down guitar chords.

No, I've thought of this possibility before, and it doesn't make sense. If Johnny Test and Total Drama Island were actually good shows, I'd watch them nonstop. Cartoons are just growing old and generic as a whole. Oh hur hur, a fat guy ate a pie and farted, how cliche and funny. Yeah, not really. If a good new cartoon like Chowder or Flapjack came out, I'd watch it immensely.

A "shower" you say? Hmm.. sounds familiar. Oh yeah, that's what my friends tell me to take too! Does that mean I have to steal it or something? I can't help you there. Also, the fumes and stench from my disgusting body is too putrid to think straight.

Posted: 11/19/09 09:35 PM

It'd severely fuck up the flow of time and development of technology, but yeah it would be cool to do something like that. Imagine sending back up to date medical equipment and books during the Civil War. It'd probably make the war last longer because of better treatment of wounds. Sending a microwave to the early 1800s would be cool too, or sliced bread in the middle ages.

Fighting is just part of our society. It's been embedded in our culture since the beginning. People love violence and over the top beat downs. You'd be lying if you didn't find it at least a little bit exhilarating. I watch UFC fights sometimes, they're entertaining, and at least it's a sport. My friend's brother is an amateur fighter.

The craftsmanship and uniqueness of the tree is just baffling, as well as the pure awesome of Mountain Dew being the leaves of the tree and the star on top. I say the new guy is in, his crudentials check out, but I don't want to impose if StarF68 wants to admit members since it's his club.

Haha, that's classic. I'm sure I swore a few times as a kid but I can only recall one situation. My mom said once I stubbed my toe as a toddler. I could hardly talk at the time, but I shouted, "OH GOD DAMNIT!" I swear a lot louder than I should and I think my mom and dad just know I'm responsible for what I say now because I'm that special age and close to being an adult.

That's what's wrong with the younger generation - they don't appreciate their childhood. Childhood is a time of free imagination, endless possibilities, and innocence, not sex and violent video games and swearing. I enjoyed my childhood to the fullest extent. Kids want to grow up too fast these days and become teenagers. Being a teenager isn't all that great, and if given the chance to become a kid again I would do it in a flash. Our society is also taught that morals and imagination doesn't matter in comparison to sexual activity and drugs, which is just sad.

I agree with Nev and D3NATUS. Death is the perfect name. So simple, but so appropriate. They could have overdone their name with gore or pseudo intellectual garbage, but Chuck just kept it heavy. That one word has so much meaning and the name grabs your attention.

Yeah, it was dead before it even really started. I made myself seem more vintage and knowledgeable about music in the underground by saying that. Not one tear was shed on the grave that is punk rock, and that same grave is being pissed on every day by Green Day and others.

I'm going to get a Death shirt soon. It'll probably be the red logo, with details if I can get it, I like that one better. I wouldn't mind donning a Leprosy shirt though. On the back it says, "ROTTING WHILE THEY BREATHE, DEATH COMES SLOW." Great lyric, completes the epic shirt.

If you know bar and cheater chords, go at basically any classic rock song. Paranoid by Black Sabbath, Rocky Mountain Way by Joe Walsh, and Let The Good Times Roll (forget the band at the moment) are some easy three or so chord songs to practice.
