Hey Neon, glad you're still making these!

Here's my professional email: CSWorks@live.ca

I'll be doing Ethnojazz, and the country I'll be representing this year is Spain.

I have to ask the obligatory question: When you say orchestra, do you specifically include classical orchestra, or is the big band included?

Response to: Dec. Nac 2011 - Winter Wonderland Posted December 22nd, 2011 in Audio

I made myself a nice arrangement of a vocaless Christmas song, so I FOUND A LOOPHOLE.

I'm pretty sure it meets the requirements, if only that it may be a bit short, but I figured I'd give it a shot anyhow.

Hey hey RRC, It's been a while!

It's been 4 months since last time I posted anything, but things have cleared up around my bit, so I finally managed to post some stuff.

Here's one Jazz Fusion groove I managed to pull out one eavening:

Started to work on a remix a few weeks ago, almost finished it, and then my computer with my life's work on it gets stolen.

NO BACKUP.

FML, my life sucks.

My bad.

Response to: Nac General Discussion Thread Posted July 28th, 2011 in Audio

When you say remix, what's that mean? 'Cause I'd like to do something I wanted to do for a while, a little something I'd call demixing.

Demixing would simply imply taking a dubstep track and demix it to something accoustic, like classic rock, jazz, classical, funk, etc.

I think that would definitely be awesome, and that would certainly have my vote! :P

W00t, first!

I've completely revised my approach to composing, and I think I'm a new man now.

I've started a project that'll consist of a 10 minute Jazz Epic, and I've already sent a few demos, including this one:

Hey hey, RRC!

I've got a few songs that were apparently left unnoticed by the reviewing community, so I guess I'll leave them to you guys to give any form of criticism.

Anyways, first track:

Some kind of Afro-Jazz Fusion, very intense. Hope you guys enjoy!

Well, to be fair, I'm pretty sure alot of the categories aren't properly represented, they shouldn't have genres atributed to them since genres are meant to encolse the style of composition rather than the actual feeling that comes from it.

For example I have NEVER written Jazz that felt chill or relaxed, and am pissed when people assume that's the kind of music I make when I tell them I make Jazz (and I take as an insult the categorising of "easy listening" Jazz is tagged as in the AP).

In your case, surf rock, or Rockabilly, would most likely go under the chill category.

Well, I've checked other meet hubs and they seemed to be more of the likes of 3 days.

You think you were antisocial? Not much happened for me on the last day at the bar. And I became clinically depressed on the day after...

I stayed in my corner most of the meet, I guess I wasn't as talkative as I would have liked!

Likewise, though I still hardly know you.

Maybe we'll get to know each other at the next meet!

I would post vids faster if there was a post video feature of some kind on the site. As for the pics: I can crap 'em out at a moment's notice - Photocam battery is charging though, so no access to CF yet.

Cool, can't wait.

As for the vids of Chron singing: I've shown last year's to my family and the girls, but haven't uploaded it to U-Tewb yet. Still, It's too good of a gem to just bury at the bottom of a laptop harddrive.

POST. NOW.

Anyways, glad to have finally met fellow newgrounders!

Also, Luis, The-Hobo-Dude didn't backout, he just said he wouldn't be there for Laser Tag, so you might wanna put him back in the list...

On a completely unrelated note, I'd like to ask everybody's opinion on if the competition should start earlier.

I realise this competition is a summer event, so I ask: shouldn't the auditions start around, let's say, mid-May, so that the ACTUAL competition may start around the start of summer and end around the end? I've been in touch with Steph on this matter, and he said it had to do with people going abroad during the competition and having to forfeit their place.

All I'm asking, is if people are up to starting the competition a bit sooner to prevent school interfering with the competition, for the end of the competition would meet-up with my session exams...

Not wanting to do any kind of self-publicity, but my song Cooldown has exactly 16 times more downloads than views, and I KNOW I haven't done any kind of publicity or is any kind of flash I know of.

I don't know either if someone's been linking my song without my consent, but it's been freaking me out for a while now. :/

If I go I would go on a bike tour, but I'd have to either borrow a bike or buy a new bike in Montreal and do a badass 300k back home after the meet, thus replacing my shitty bike with something usable.

Not really, there's a bike rental service everywhere in montreal.

I have been thinking about which charity organization we shod give money to... And I was thinking about either helping the Japanese relief program a hand.

Well that would be perfect for the song I'll be submitting, having started it a while ago when the news were fresh!

Also, I agree with Peter, adding that Jazz doesn't really fit with classical, though the main reason that it's fused with another genre is probably that besides Sorohan (assuming he'd post in the jazz category) and me, I haven't actually seen constant jazz posters in the latter years...

I also agree with the statement that we should be allowed to post more than one song, given that the constraints to submit only newly made songs will prevent a massive flow of submitions from the same artist.

P.S. 100th post, have I really posted this much already, I feel like I rarely ever post...

I probably missed the query, but in the advent that it WILL be sold on other sites, will the revenue go to the artists if it's sufficient enough that it's worthwhile?
