Gratz, Kor, you deserve it!
Much congratulations for Waterflame too for making it this far!

Oh please, stop the QQ, the mods simply haven't had the power necessary to actually do much regarding these types of issues, and as I stated earlier, in most cases these types of things don't actually affect the portal in any meaningful way, this case being a rare exception.
Now I suggest you shut it and let the mods do what they must to get the job done.
Hmm, yeah, score whoring is quite common and is, in most cases, considered retarded and pointless at best, but this is getting out of hand and must, indeed, be dealt with.
I might have some stuff you might like, see which one you prefer.

This be the words of a wise man, people. I am truly inspired by this and will never look upon reality in the same way as a direct result of this eulogy.
Thank you, oh superior being, for sharing your knowledge.
Un thread en francais? Sur NEWGROUNDS? J'aurai tout vu!
Aussi, je suis egalement dispos(er) a travailler sur ce projet, bien que Troisnyx semble etre bien partante pour relever la tache, et donc c'est a toi de voir.
Welp, updated the list, even though at this point it is pretty much utterly pointless, other than for integrity's sake.
Best of luck to both of you, this will be one hell of a tight finale, and a good one at that!
Piano, Percs, Lead Brass instrument.
Just confirmed the date for a professional studio recording with a bunch of really talented folks to play one of my songs, so stoked right now!
Really hope I don't fuck this up, I've got big plans with this formation if things go well...

In any case, welcome to the forum, you'd probably need to read the Forum Rules, and more specifically the forum names.

To all that post here, I've talked with the guy via PM, and I can safely say that the Label itself is pretty legit. I won't divulge any of the information I received from him since I think he wants to keep the information limited to the interested, but it seems interesting.

Don't have permission to view the project, might want to modify permissions.

Just talked with Step, apparently it was all a misunderstanding. Oh well, I'll be reviewing each submission anyways.
Erm, wasn't I a judge in this competition, and didn't I send you my votes?
Aaand the deadline has passed, fortunately everyone submitted, now let the dread begin!
I'm of course still keeping track of the submission list, even though at this point it's hardly necessary... In any case, good luck to all!

Uploaded in the file share, does that mean I'm in the clear?
Our team is in last minute details, should be posted before midnight, not that it really matters at this point.

How so?

And now for the first 3 results!
First of all, I find this method of revealing the score MUCH too personal, as revealing the votes of individual people is the best way to start a flamewar. I can see this is derived from your block formation reveal, but the whole point of the block formation was to keep anonymity. This is NOT how you reveal the score.
Secondly, you apparently didn't take my vote in since I voted for Mexico and you explicitly stated he didn't receive any points.
I prefer to keep my anonymity in my votes, so please change this ASAP, for the sake of the competition.

Welp, someone died again.
Happy third Millenium!
Please people, this thread isn't a thread for self-promotion, we've already got the Audio Advertisement Thread!
As for Underrated artists, I've made a recent find that immediately became one of my favorite bands on this site (Although I'm probably a tad biased).
the formation call themselves SMES (Super Music Entertainment System), and they do classic VG covers, but play them in Hard Bop Jazz style.
They're an extremely talented bunch, and I encourage everyone here to at the very least give them a listen, you certainly won't regret it!
I'd write an introductory post to greet you and all, but I'm tired and don't feel like it.
Simply put, this place isn't for self advertisement, please post HERE to advertise.
Also, please read the RULES for future reference.
Nonetheless, enjoy your stay!

Any kind of qualifications will do. Just something that says "I'm not a random musician, I know what I'm doing".
Erm, I'm a working musician of sorts? Didn't I propose myself last time we talked?
In any case, just log on to MSN if you'd like to have me, or just let me know if you'd like someone else.
At 9/22/12 01:05 PM, Step wrote:Now I've recently learnt that it's possible to seek apprenticeship with someone online... So can anyone help? The requirements are that you need to have professional-grade qualifications in music, be at least a few years older than me and you know a thing or two about orchestral music. And obviously you have to not mind having your name written down on the school project of some random kid in Malta.
And what exactly is the criteria for "professional-grade qualifications"? Some form of diploma?
