Response to: Over-Patriotic? Posted July 11th, 2004 in Politics

It all depends on who you talk to... I mean, I am patriotic, I am an American, and no matter where I go in my life, which will probably be abroad, I will always be an American. But I still do not blindly trust the government, or label anyone else as unamerican for any reason whatsoever, People are patriotic in different ways. I am sure there is some fanatic out there who says that I am unpatiotic for even thinking of going outside of the country for a while...

Response to: Stop The Terrorists! Posted July 10th, 2004 in Politics

I think part of America's problem is that a large part of the populations acctually thinks we can win "the war on terror." This totally astounds me and apalls me (I'm applaed at how dumb the average American ios to believe this spoonfed horseshit.) There is no possible way to win a war on terror, none. You could erase all of the terrorists, but in the process all you do is create more. The best way to deal with terrorism is to just pick up the pieces of the rubble and get on with your life and forget it ever happened. Show the terrorists that they have no power to strike fear into you. And for those who just want to kill... Well shit, I don't think there really is anything you can do about them...

Before terrorism we had Communism... Ugh, don't even get me started on the bullshit of anti-communism in the US.

If the American population got smart and stop eating out of the administration's ass, I think that we probably wouldn't be so brutish and cruel to the rest of the world.

Response to: Is the UN useful Posted July 10th, 2004 in Politics

The UN doesn't work because questions like this are being asked. If the people of UN nations do not beleive it can work, their governments won't either, and then the UN's base of legitimacy and authority will be undermined from the inside.

Response to: What is wrong with gay marriage? Posted July 10th, 2004 in Politics

Ugh, why does Bush insist on forcing his restrictive beliefs on us, just because he had the second most votes in the last election doesn't mean that us Americans gave him a blank check to oppress and christianize our nation.

Response to: War on Ignorance Posted July 10th, 2004 in Politics

You talk about ignorance in a society that does not value intelligence. American culture does not prize intelligence. The average American is a low-grade moron. Why do you think that the country eats up meaningless paradoxical sayings like "winning the war on terrorism."

And I agree that that is why America is a Republic more than it is a Democracy, but some of the other statements you make are no less than spurious and seem very sheeplike, as if you were one of the media saying what the government tells you to say because you do not know any better.

It'll only kill you if you do it right, if not youll just have a large damn cut in your wrist. Parallel with the arm is a kill slit, perpendicular isn't guaranteed to kill, but it will hurt like a fuckereven if you don't die.

You want my solution? Break your leg or something, jump in front of a slow moving car, that'll hurt you and you shouldn't die...
