uhhh buddy. You've just described war. War is not at all a new concept. In fact, it has been happening all over the world for many years and will continue for many more to come............... I don't see how your idea is any different. War is sort of humanity's way of thinning the population though.....

Response to: Lockdown!!! Posted July 29th, 2008 in Politics

Lockdown drills are put in place to instill confidence in the community that they ahve a defense against lunatics with weaopns. They arent very effective put they do help put people's minds at ease. If a guy has a gun no door will stop him unless it has two inches of steel armor on it. One man with a semi auto pistol holding 15 rounds can only do so much damage against a highschool class of around 30 people if they fight back. The only problem is most people's fight or flight instinct tells them FLIGHT FLIGHT FLIGHT!!!!!!!!!! Ultimately there isnt a whole lot that can be done in that situation except get some early warning somehow and evac the school.

Response to: Violent Games effect on Children Posted July 27th, 2008 in Politics

Human Beings are naturally violent. Ever since we were created (Either through eveolution or intelligent design im not getting into that debate here) we have been killing, Killing animals for food. Killing other humans for land, food, women etc... Video games probably do desencitize people to violence. However, if people are properly educated by their parents about the differences between reality and virtual reality then there should be no problem letting kids play GTA.

Without the education to get jobs, the citizens have to find other ways to feed their family. That's where their friendly neighborhood jihadist comes in. People with jobs stay out of trouble (mostly). To try and say that giving terrorists books and calculators is going to bring forth a millennium of peace would be a fabrication fit for a Middle Eastern fairy tale. But a plan for educating terrorists, compounded with assertive (not aggressive) foreign policy could do more for the War on Terror than anything we've tried before. Just an idea.

Thats really not a bad idea at all. It makes sense, the only problem is all of our engineer batalions are a little busy building Iraq back up from all the Jihadist IEDs and car bombs and shit. The second we build a bridge or a power substaion etc... the terrorists try to blow it up. If the local populus doesnt have basic neccessities (schools included) they begin to hate the Americans for being there and want us to leave even though we are trying to help them. Good idea, but a little far fetched...

uhh....... i'd like to see where you got these numbers from if you don't mind because those numbers sound a little inflated to me. I guess if you count all the terrorists we killed that sounds a little better. And the war is not the only reason for our deficit. And John Kerry? Seriously? You would rather have John fucking Kerry as president? You mean the man who shot himself in the foot to get out of Vietnam, then throws his purple heart back, then try to beef himself up as some hero during election time?
http://www.iraqbodycount.org/ is where I got my numbers from. It includes Iraqi civilians. And yes, even if Kerry did shoot himself (which is completely unfounded, like McCain's illegitimate son), I'd rather have that than Bush, who used his dad to dodge the draft.

Bush didnt use his dad to dodge the draft, he joined the Texas Air National Gaurd you stupid shit. Its barely military service but it is military service.

Democrats are soft because they never fund anykind of homeland defense of the military. Look at every democratic president ever. Democrats fund domestic shit like welfare for the lazy fuckers who dont work and healthcare and stuff. They always make huge budget cuts in the military and intelligence services therefore makeing us more vulnerable to attack.
Where are you making these assumptions from? And when was the last time somebody attacked the US? 9/11, during Bush. Before that? Pearl Harbor?

Thank you guy above me for answering this for me. I am making these "Assumptions" from history. Bill Clinton for example made big budget cuts in the military and cut many jobs. We were repeatedly attacked by terrorists and yet he didnt do shit to defend us. Not go attacking countries, defending our country from outside forces who wish to see us splattered on the pavement.

And please forgive Democrats for investing our money towards economic growth, rather than wasting it attacking countries.

Soo........ you would rather have money than be alive? What good is moey if you can't spend it?

hollow points are stupid on a battlefield anyway. You need FMJ rounds to go through cover and body armor and hollow points just wont cut it. Domestic police forces on the other hand, need a good bit of damage done to bring the target down without cauing alot of collateral damage.

Yes they do.

Has anyone here heard of the westboro babtist church? They are a group of people that gettogether and go to soldier's funerals and protest right outside the church. They say that killing soldiers is a gift from God to make us see how wrong our society is blah blah blah. They are based out of Maryland i believe and the father of one of the soldiers sued them a little bit ago for millions of dollars.... and won. Good for him eh?

I just love how people say "pUlL oUr TrOoPs OuT nOw!!!" they are all idiots. You cannot just pull thousnads of troops and many millions of dollars of supplies out of a country and overnight express it all back home. Obama is a tool and knows nothing about war. Mccain on the other hand has alot more knowledge about this type of thing having been in the military for so long. He wants to deploy more troops to Iraq. We needed more troops earlier on. Now we ware at the point where all our military can do is provide stability in the area and buy time for the politicians to get their shit together and take care of thier own country. Then, and only then will we be able to bring our troops home.

The Department of Homeland Security says they successfully stop appox. 98% of all terrorist threats. So they say... but statistics can be made up entirely or scewed. Like they could consider a possible terrorist attack as a guy planning to hurl tomatoes at the white house or something.

You want to know what will happen? Okay i will tell you what will happen. First comes rationing, then depression, then fear, then panic, then riot, then world war three. The superpowers of the world will fight for the land that has oil. Huge wars in the middle east, the baltics, south america, kazhakstan etc... as each nation scrambles to maintain order in their society. Tens of Millions will be left dead and suddenly it won't be as big of a problem anymore since there is less demand and with fewer people, alternative energy can more easily fulfill the world's needs. Order will be restored and there will be a few more decades of peace................. or nuclear war ensues as countries fight to the last man to defend their oil reserves and MADD happens and everyone except Canadia and Australia gets nuked to hell. Fun huh?

hilarious episode by the way

-Currently, The US Government has no idea how many illegals are in this counrty( my guess is I would say soon there will be more mexicans here than in Mexico)
-Our Millitary is soo streched arcoss the globe to ''Defend Freedom'' (Call me crazy, But Rome didn't invade others countries to ''Defend the Empire'')so we have less troops home to actualy defend our homeland.

America is not imperialist..... just incae that metaphore has a deeper meaning

With a lack of a millitary precince at home and an untold number of outsiders in our country what do you think would be Soo easy to do..........Invade!!

it's genius, quietly send what appear to be mexicans citizens that couldn't get in legally into a country whos reputation is in the shitter (REALLY, Whose gonna HELP US!!!) and with a millitary that can't spare any reinforcements. Only thing left is to wait until you get a president in the white house (Obama OR Mc Cain will do) that will repeal the 2nd Amendment (Truth is, that IS our last line of Defense)and then.....Goodbye USA.

Think about it.

I have thought about it and a president does not have the power to appeal the second ammendment. And there are plenty of national gaurdsmen to hold the line for 24 hours until the army gets loaded up on c-17s and gets back home. If the home land was invaded do you really think we would still be dicking around in iraq? And who would help us?..... hmm...... yes uhhh lets see theres NATO...... uhh Britian always has our back and, oh yes i nearly forgot, THE MULTI MILLION MAN MILITARY WE HAVE which is the best trained, best equipped, deadliest fightig force in the world. Anyway an invasion is more complex than that. Those pathfinders would have to communicate with some kind of higher headquarters about targets and such and communications can be intercepted. Is this a serious topic? Or did i get all stirred up over nothing?

Japan attacked the United States. Then the United States declared war on Japan. Germany, Japan's ally, responded with its own declaration of war on the United States. Only then did the United States declare war on Germany.

The threat was that the most powerful military in the world had just declared war on the United States.

Thats ecaxtly right. And Brittian, being our ally; and the rest of Europe, having been butt raped by hitler already and being in need of liberation, should be thankful the U.S. did finally step into Europe.

Thats a blantant break of the constituion. Lucky for the arm that doesnt count for shit. I dont have it in front of me but it says something along the lines of I am aware that some fo my constituional rights may be waived in instances and circumstances where they would impede the military and therefore national security or somthing like that. Google the uniform code of military justice if you areinterested. thats the law the military follows. VERY different than civilian law. Do you know wat the penalty for drunk driving in the army is? 45 probation and reduced pay and extra duty.... oh that stuff makes me laugh. Most civilian cops turn soldiers over to the army thinking they will get slammed a million time worse than in the civilian world but its the exact opposite really
