Yes. I'm not a communist. The idea is just impractical, but I do like the basic principles. Socialism is a good middleman.

My philosiphy says that people have the right to life, liberty and the right to own land. It says that BASICALLY, if you aren't hurting anyone, then you're not doing anything wrong. It says you should treat people the same, regardless of race or religion, and only descriminate on personality. It also says that the people should have an atrociously high level of civil liberties.
Enough for social issues. Economically, I dont have a problem with people being well off (<£500,000/year) I think that should be encouraged. Taxes for the VERY rich [income tax] should be high, but never more than 50%. The government should regulate businesses heavily, but as long as they comply to the regulations, the businesses should have the chance to make profits. People have the right to a nice house, a nice car, if they want to work for it. Unemployment benefit should at a high level, and decrease for the amount of time you spend unemployed. (For instance, if you spend 10 years on the dole, you wont be getting a lot at all in the end.)
To conclude. Socially: Do what you like, but dont hurt anyone, or piss anyone off deliberately.
Economically: Earn what you like, but if you're intpo a 7-figure sum, expect to pay one fuck of a lot in income tax.

Not if they've been illegalised. It's fucking impossible to get a legal handgun in the UK. Result: Not many people have handguns. Result: Anyone with a handgun is a criminal. Result: Carrying a handgun in a public place gets you 5 years.
