When I get back to working on it, I'll surely change the music first thing and then work on player controls next. I find reviews like this extremely helpful for making a better game, and some things stand out that I don't even notice until someone mentions it, like the controls.

I'm not sure if a current project is fun or not, mainly because I haven't added enemies/conflict despite working on it for a while. I want it to be fun, and I think it could be fun, but right now it's not.
My games never tend to be as fun as I expect them to, but a lot of that has to do with having poor level design skills, and a habit of parsing sprites through tilemaps (csv files) for easy placement.
The game I'm currently working on has 30 levels so I've added a new mechanic on levels 11-20, and then another on levels 21-30, just to keep it from becoming boring.
I do usually let people play the rough working version to see if they hate it or like it, or have some idea on how it could be better, but it's hard to find people who will test for you and tell you an honest opinion, before release.
I've had this game on the back burner for a few months until I can find a way to make it fun. I know it has potential, but right now it's just not fun.

Had this same issue a few weeks ago and fixed it by clearing the cache also.
Only the banner ads, and the buttons(forum buttons, pm, dump , etc) were empty, but still clickable.
I assumed it was only an issue with Opera, since Chrome, and Firefox both worked fine.
Running Opera 26.0, on Vista, no adblock.
Maybe if you studied in computer class you would know how to do what you're asking, but then you wouldn't need to do it because you wouldn't have made a C.

Can't really answer your question, but if you just need a sfx generator, try sfxr or bfxr, which are both free and open source.

Considering audio files, and such could be giant in size and you could just zip them to put them in the dump I understand why they're not supported, but a haxe file is no bigger than an AS3, or an Xml file, which is pretty small and is directly associated with content being created.

I've never loaded a .json with HaxeFlixel before but I've had that error when calling for an empty frame from of a spritesheet.
Could it be because you're using 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, instead of 0,1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14?
Why doesn't the dump accept Haxe files?

That's funny. Stephen Hawking is pretty outspoken about (A) not having his IQ tested and (B) showing disdain for people who brag about their IQ.
Where did you hear that?
Anywhere you search will yield the same number of 160, which could be based on educated guess, but it seems he has taken a mensa test which I assume could be beneficial to determine his IQ.
I'm not saying he isn't a genius or that any of his theories are wrong, I just personally don't put stock in theories very often.

Nah, I use HaxeFlixel also. I can't believe it hasn't been getting more popular, as it is a hell of an upgrade from AS3 and Flixel.

I learned AS3 when I was 27-28, and moved on to Haxe a little over year ago.
If you can draw, learning the flash UI isn't that hard. If you're more of a thinker than an artist, diving head first into some code may be the way to go.
Well it is pretty good, but I personally think there is a lot of great stuff on here that kinda gets lost in the crowd, and is more deserving of a better spot.

You may wanna take a look at the Flixel (AS3) library. HaxeFlixel is very similar, but much more advanced and of course it's in Haxe. They each have example games, and are open source.

I think most people don't really know how much work is going on behind the scenes for these "small" updates, but just getting new stuff out of the blue, is great for A. the new stuff, and B. it lets everybody know they're steadily working on it.
