You may believe the Russians acted accordingly to all laws and reacted as obliged when defending Tsxinvali and expelling all Georgian troops out of the separatist territory and with the subsequent establishment of buffer zones within Georgia's undisputed zones.
Or you may believe the Georgian side was deliberately spewed towards its military actions in South Ossetia by the Russian-backed separatists, the very Pro-Russian forces that allegedly shelled Georgian villages without any motive than to have the Kremlin to purport it as a pretext for a full-scale invasion and toppling of the incumbent Pro-Western government.
No matter which side you stand for or who is actually responsible for this mess, but it's a fact that Russia's international reputation has been tarnished heavily due to last month's happenings and there have been talks of a Cold War revival, which would imply complete isolation, both diplomatic and economical, between Russia and the West.
What will come out of all of this? Will it fade away slowly and be given to history, or will this truly spark a new set of confrontations between two totally different worlds?

I must say Spore has been largely overhyped in every possible aspect and people actually expected a full-scale evolution game where they'd be able to fully indulge into the process, but it has really proven to be a completely different sort of game.
Really, I had a lot of faith in this game, I expected it to be something different, unlike from all other simulation games out there, something that would let me actually step in as God and take care of every single, minor detail, but all I've seen so far is a simple, childish game with no challenge whatsoever. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, but certainly not worth the pre-release praises the gaming community has been giving it, and certainly not the most evolutionary game in history of mankind.
Maybe if it weren't for the excessive and unnecessary hyping, I would have enjoyed the game as it is, but, unfortunately, I would still say it's just another decent simulation game out there.
