So please, tell me all about friend codes, matches, and such.
I figured that I don't need to tell you about what was already on the site.
Playing on the friend roster is way better than basic brawl. There is way less lag (from what I experienced) and you can change the match settings.
First you have to enter in your friend's friend code. It isn't as annoying as it seems, it takes 50 seconds at the most. Also make sure they have entered in your code. Once you both register each other, you will have your friend on your friend roster. Sometimes when playing with your friends someone else who isn't on your list, but on your friend's, trys to join your room. If you accept them, you can send them a friend invitation. If they accept it, then you're friends and they get added to your roster.
When selecting rule settings, you have to wait your turn. A little notice comes up when it is your turn. You can't do special brawls though. When selecting stages, you can choose the brawl and melee stages (no custom stages). Once everyone has finished choosing, the game selects one of the stages someone picks.
You can also do homerun contest and multi-man brawl with one other person online. You can even have more than one person on a console when playing online with friends.
