I've been playing guitar for 3-4 years now, have some experience with piano, and an adequate understanding of music theory. Now, how can an amateur like me record decent-sounding tracks in my bedroom?

I have:
- A nice quad-core computer with a Creative sound card.
- A shitty computer microphone from Plantronics.
- Music Maker 11 deluxe software. (that I don't know how to use)
- Audacity
- A budget of, let's say, $200

WHAT ON EARTH AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?

Thanks for everything, guys. It felt like just last week I was signing up to Newgrounds to get in on the Forums. Of course, that was back in the days when everyone was a 13-year-old loser and people liked Good Charlotte. I'm sure plenty of you don't know who I am now that I haven't posted here on a regular basis since over a year ago. That's fine. I just wanted to say thanks for all the support in the past, and keep on making newgrounds a great community for budding animators. It's a shame I never got into flash but...oh well
