Harman/kardon speakers.

And The Verve sounds awesome in them.

Bittersweet Symphony kind of reminds me of Viva La Vida by Coldplay.

Justice Posted April 13th, 2009 in Politics

If you truly believe in justice, then you believe in quite a lot of things.

You believe that there is a definitive right and wrong.
You believe that the ends justify the means.
You believe in torture.
You believe in the death penalty.
You believe in civilian deaths.
You believe in mass warfare.
You believe in genocide.
You believe in rape.
You believe in murder.
You believe you must do anything to accomplish your goal of "justice".

Why? Because again, you believe "the ends justify the means". You get that from "justice", because you want to free people from wrong. How extreme are you willing to go to create "justice"? Very, because apparently you're open minded to everything.

You're first mistake? Believing there is right and wrong. What is right? What is wrong? What's the difference? Is there a difference? Let me answer that for you: NO. A big fat no. Why, you might ask, it's because justice is in the eye of the beholder. The way one defines it can very person to person.

True justice is as dangerous as being a radical or reactionary. You are willing to go so far for your beliefs. In this sense, true justice does not exist.

No, you're right. Even better, let's put in a lesser known Batman baddie.

Like maybe Red Hood....

Why not get Arnie to be Dr. Freeze again?

Well, look at it this way. When Kennedy went into office, it was a big deal because, OMG, he was a Roman Catholic. Oh, he might make America Catholic and make us all pledge eternal devotion to the Pope. Scary, and that was only 50 years ago.

We will still face challenges, and there's no doubt about that as we speak, mostly dealing with the gay marriage issue. The civil rights in this country has always been difficult, and so this isn't a surprise. I would not be surprised, however, to see a woman President in my lifetime.

There's no doubt about it, though, had Obama not have ran, Hilary would have been President. I also see her not running for President either anytime soon. But probably some other woman politician who's well known in the right way (opposed to Sarah Palin) could potentially win in the next 50 years.

Remember kids, the reason why we eat chocolate bunnies is that there were rabbits around Jesus's Cross. And the chocolate is brown, like the wood of the cross.

And we dye eggs because there were apparently chickens there as well. And most people there were on acid, so everything was like "WOW"

Maybe some traditions are better left unexplained.

Okay.

Well, based on your 1 example......I going to use you as my 1 example.

See, based off of you, or, even better, Fred Phelps, I can now safely assume that all Christians are fucktards who apparently ignorant towards other people based off of 1 person.

And, you know, you're right. It should only be legalized in a few states. Because I guess "home of the free" isn't good enough for everybody.

Of course this is wrong. You cannot base an entire assumption of a people's culture based off of 1 asshole who is the most well known. That's a fact.

Even more so, one would think, of all place to pass a gay rights bill, it would be in a very liberal state. Well, no, Iowa, part of what you would probably call "America's homeland" passed one. Mind you, Iowa is not the most conservative state in the country, but a conservative one neither the less.

4 jobs that'll never go away... Posted April 11th, 2009 in General

That's right. Through the entire history of mankind, there have been 4 jobs that have always existed, and always will be. No matter what the situation, whether an economic crisis or a nuclear fallout, these jobs will always exist.

1. Lawyer: Because people are always going to be suing each other for some crazy shit. Humans will always want money and/or other items from each other.

2. Priest: Because people will always try to suck up to religion. No matter what kind of religion, they always want divine beings on their side, because every little thing helps.

3. Assassin: Because people will always want another person dead. Plus, most are wusses that can't do it themselves, thus they have to hire somebody. Calling 47......

4. Prostitute: Sex. Do I need to say anymore?

So remember kids, when career day rolls around, remember these 4 jobs. People will think you're crazy, but you'll always have a job.

I seriously doubt that for obvious reasons.

1) Racism, because that's never going to go away. There are always going to be people who think they are better than others because they are of a different decent. A branch of elitism, if you will, because people try to make themselves better than everyone else, any way they can.

2) Genetics. It's been shown that people of different origins in race have different characteristics. And that's how it's always going to be. YOU CANNOT CHANGE GENES, PERIOD.

3) The opposite of racism, which fails to come to me at the moment. People will be proud of where they come from. It's pride, which people will always have and it's a powerful tool.

Race will never go away, because it can't. It holds too much in today's society.

This is a very modern problem. We keep on trying to label each other as a single race, but we cannot. In this day and age there are also a lot of people who face this same problem, especially in the US.

A person will this particular dilemma Proteas would probably but down B), because that's the technical answer. But it could go anyway.

Though more and more now I see forms telling you that you can put down more than one race or ethnicity, which, thank god, is for the better.

However, if you really wanted to, you could argue that we're all from Africa. But that's slightly off topic.

SPECIAL RULES FOR POLITICS
Because it really is a different atmosphere than the other forums. The discussions are a lot more serious, and there's already been several attempts to write the unwritten rules down that have been created over the years.
As far as I know this one is the closest list we've got, but I would like to see some specialized rules for politics.
