Remember, this was also the 70s, when being gay was still classified as a mental disorder. It doesn't justify the actions, but it does explain a lot.

No, come on, look at Twilight. The money's always on the other side.

Look at it this way. 20 years ago Ice Cube was rapping about killing cops. Now he's in kids movies.

Just saying.

I'm not legally obligated to leave something, right? So I wouldn't leave a note. If people really wanted to know I'd gone they would of heard it from me before.

Response to: Halo 4 announced. Posted June 7th, 2011 in Video Games

Watching the trailer again, here's what I gathered:

Cortana still may be in rampancy as seen in Halo Origins. This may provide an interesting storyline, having a rampant AI in your head, to say the least.

There is another Forerunner structure, and it doesn't look like the planet at the end of Halo 3. Draw your own conclusions.

Something made the ship blow up, and my guess is that it wasn't natural. New foe? Possibly.

Despite the lack of Marines/Navy, Chief still has a human weapon. More USMC in the game would be a safe bet.

I am aware of that, which is why I was surprised he was not in the films. Hugh Laurie I can understand, but no Steven Fry? SAD FACE

Keep the yanks out of the series.

TOO LATE, WE ALREADY SOILED IT BY HAVING AN AMERICAN DIRECTOR FOR THE FIRST TWO

So was Star Wars. And Indiana Jones. And Spider Man. And X-Men. And Mission Impossible. And god know how many other franchises.

Response to: Halo 4 announced. Posted June 7th, 2011 in Video Games

Some people really be surprised by this? I thought it was pretty clear that Microsoft was going to milk the franchise for all its worth the moment they created 343 Industries. The fact that Bungie left really made no difference.

Will the game itself be good? Probably. It'll have the same scheme as all the other ones. Will it do well? Probably. Fanboys will love it and it'll sell a ridiculous amount of copies. Will it rate well? Probably. Critics will enjoy the multiplayer depth that most people have come to expect.

My bet is that the Flood is not dead, there's a splinter of it that exists, and thus Master Chief gets some killing done, again. Let's all just hope they don't pull a Lost and say the entire thing was in his head.

I raise you another 10 that she writes a part for Hugh Laurie and Steven Fry, the only two British actors that haven't appeared in the Harry Potter films.

And also, Samuel L Jackson. Why? Because they need more diversity in the films.

If Newgrounds is a nudist colony, then the following would be true:

Where is/How to would be the people at the information kiosk

Clubs/Crews would be in the restaurant talking about things they all like

Politics would be the Parliament/church, always arguing, never doing anything

Video Games would be indoors, fully clothed

Art would be in the forest admiring nature

Audio would be the DJs

Writing would be the newspaper of the Colony

General would be the passed out drunk person lying in the sand

Kashmiri Possibly Dead-who's Next? Posted June 6th, 2011 in Politics

Back to our board of terrorists, where the categories are "Alive, dead or we don't know"..............

Ilyas Kashmiri, aka the Pakistani equivalent of Jason Bourne except allied with Al Qaeda, was possibly killed Saturday in Southern Pakistan by a US drone. However, US officials, as usual, could not confirm the kill. In the meantime, Kashmiri's associated group, Harakat-ul-Jihad-Islami, released a statement to the media (sounds a lot cleaner than it actually is), saying ""On behalf of Harkat Jihad al-Islami 313 Brigade we confirm the fact that our leader and Commander-in-chief Mohammad Ilyas Kashmiri, along with other companions, have been martyred in an American drone attack at 11:15 pm on June 3, 2011 and Insha Allah (God willing) the present pharaoh America will see our full revenge very soon. Our only target is America."

However, this wouldn't be the first time Kashmiri had "been killed". A similar event occurred in 2009, but Kashmiri's death at the time was considered a hoax.

Now, you might be wondering how Pakistan feels in all of this. Well, despite once again the US possibly being in Pakistan without Pakistan's knowledge, Kashmiri was wanted probably more by Pakistan because of his traitorous qualities. (It's really starting to sound like an 80's action film)

So, where does it leave Al Qaeda? Who's next? It seems like all the intelligence is slowly coming out to the media.

I found for a licensed game The Bourne Conspiracy was pretty good. The boss fights were epic, and the pace of the game was on track with the movie. My only complaint? No Matt Damon.
