That's odd, I can't think off the top of my head why it was working well two weeks ago, but now it isn't unless your ISP is carrying out some repairs that you are unaware of.

It will at least give you some indication of you ping to your nearest ISP server. So then you should be able to determine whether it is in fact your connection that has trouble, or if it's just the servers on the online games.

The Medal System, at the moment, is still its beta stage and has a lot of work to be done before it is made open to the general user.

I'm sure once the creases are ironed out, then perhaps a new page will be added to the ranks page to show who the leaders are. In the meanwhile, use this thread....

Revenue sharing is a simple concept. Tom gets money by companies who pay to have advertisements shown on the website.

Now, if you look carefully you'll see you also have advertisements on your user-page / blog. Therefore, Tom thinks it's fair that you can claim some of the advertising profits depending on how many people view advertisements on work belonging to you.

So. IF you sign up to revenue sharing and hundreds of people view your user-page. You can make some money. But more importantly. If you use the Newgrounds API system to link your flashes to the Newgrounds Advertising system...

...you stand to make some money. Particularly if you are a good flash artist and your work will be seen by millions.

Before you get excited. The average user only stands to make about 2 dollars a month. Of course the better you are at flash (or the more flashes you have with the adverts in) the more money you will make.

Please be aware the medal system is in beta and therefore requires a lot of to-and-fro discussions between yourself and the staff. And it means a lot of extra work for you to implement the system. You mentioned Medal animations. Not sure if this is necessary, because the API that you are patched into when you are given the go ahead should have a 'medal-kit' in it that has everything you need to get the medal system working.

A lot of high caliber flash artists have tried medals and failed thus had them removed from their game.

Absolutely! If you've even considered making your own computer you'll know approximately how much HDDs cost. (Hard Drives). Now consider the fact a server like Newgrounds will have hundreds of these storing all of the uploads and data sent to it every second of the day. And information for all the profiles etc.

Next the maintenance costs just to keep the site up and running. And staff costs and the cost to host all of this on-line.
