ummm yes it is also relevant to filmmakers but you make it sound like you are disregarding the fact that it's about scoring for a film....which is music.
Also Kgz well said. A responsible person should always have a back up plan.
Psychology = almost waste of time
There are more neural combinations then there are known particles in the world....GOOD LUCK WITH THAT
In other news my 34 disk east west package is due to arrive tomorrow morning. 2 days from purchase to receive. I am VERY happy about this
Well I found it really inspirational!
It's just a pep talk, it doesn't say anywhere that otherwise people just want to kill themselves or drop their effort and give up.
Hmmm
I got the opposite treatment. I've been told everything I do is a waste of time, even though I was one of those kids that read instead of watched TV, studied subjects schools didnt offer, but since my concentration wasn't on school (since frankly primary and secondary schools in the US are like 5 years behind everyone and are completely retarded), I was just wasting time all day haha.
Thanks for sharing though It does remind me of what I do all day.

The new Play engine for EW is way more efficient now from what I've read/seen. Just random FYI.

Did you, like, just realize that Asians are highly concentrated hotness at relatively younger ages? Most of em are skinny, many are more likely to have a cute face, and a lot of them don't have skin problems like us whites and blacks(like pizza faces).
thats plenty. just keep postering the hell out of the city.
What you can do it hire people to give out like 100 flyers and get in free or something. But basically if you hand out like 5-10 thousand flyers around the city you should be set on crouds.
How big of a venue is this?

Sorry, but that doesn't really sounds like a good thing to do. Why didn't you just save money? Maybe that takes a bit longer, but it's way cheaper.
Did I mention the loan was from my mother? Yay for 0% interest

more never hurt anyone. i love having books whether i read them or not. built up almost a full size book case already of audio books and textbooks. have only read about 3/4th of them so far. but ill get to it. i always get a big chunk read over summer when i dont have as much class

first off - I love you
secondly - besides that looking like an amazing read, you gotta love amazon for those catchy relevant 3 pack deals they always have. in this case its:
Science of Sound, The (3rd Edition) by Thomas D. Rossing
Physics of Sound, The (3rd Edition) by Richard E. Berg
Science and Music by Sir James Hopwood Jeans
I'm late, but loans was right. 'brah' might just be like western US lingo, but I gave it a shot anyways since I found that spectacular bra.

School is not useless. There are always going to be people who do well without schooling, but schooling will never hurt you. Plus, the networking you can do is invaluable.
I'm not sure how I could have been any more sarcastic without literally saying I was being sarcastic. I think who you know is part of what you know, and what you know is a skill best tuned in a school environment. Networking is a great thing to do along the way, and going to lots of schools is WONDERFUL way to meet lots of good sources. Particularly in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Nashville among others

1 - I don't know what pivot is but I found stuff within 30 seconds of searching google
2 - quote from first google find "You can't add sounds to Pivot animations. GIF files can't play sounds"
3 - Considering that I have no idea what Pivot is, and that you were RIDICULOUSLY broad, then I could also assume that you might want to upload audio here in the audio portal, in which I will let you know that if you do, you have to have 100% copyright/created it entirely yourself

FL Studio 8
Mobile Pre USB (2 channel)
Thats a really generic recording problem. First I might add that you should be more careful when you type because its nearly incoherent. If you upload a screen shot of your audio settings and tell us what possible inputs FL studio is allowing you, then that would help us a bunch for deciding whether or not its a software or hardware problem. Thanks.
Cheers

Reading. . .
Rick Snoman has a cool book called the Dance Music manual that touches on synthesis.
I'm sure there's lots of books about it. There's a whole major for it at Berklee school of music. . .among other things.
At 3/7/10 12:41 AM, Mystery-Moon-Pie-Aud wrote: Also, how does a saw wave have more harmonics than a square? Isn't a "pure" square wave infinite harmonics? I know that a square and a saw both need infinite to be purely straight, but doesn't square require more?
It's true that a square wave has infinite amount of harmonics, but only on each odd harmonic, like the triangle, but not exponentially less each time. This is why the square wave is typically louder sounding then the triangle as well. But the saw is every harmonic.
For instance if you have a 200hz square wave fundamental, then the harmonic content would start with 3 times that so 600hz, then 5 times that (1khz), and so on to infinity.
Where as a saw wave who's fundamental starts at 200hz will contain every multiple: 400hz, 600hz, 800hz, and so on to infinity.
What confuses people about the triangle a lot is that usually you would start with a cosine shape, and you go down in odd harmonics at an exponential rate.
Wow I can't believe how cliche this advice is.
