Ewwww I have hated barebone kits ever since I got one from tigerdirect. Honestly, I'm not retarded, but the case they sent with the kit had like 10 inch wires that didn't even reach their respective places on the mobo. And the 400 watt power supply was 200 less then what asus said the minimum for driving that mobo was. Also the psu came with 2 very close together prongs for sata devices, so much so that I had to put the hdd up on the top shelf and the cd on the bottom shelf just to get them close enough because they were both sata drives. Did I mention it only came with 1 serial ata cable too? The list goes on and on.
So ewwww barebone kits,

And I think artists should have to submit a survey and an essay on their musical background and where they plan to go in the future with their music to be able to upload music to newgrounds. But that's just my opinion, just like your idea.
P.S. Can you do me and many others a favor and just leave? Nobody wants to hear your half music cept you anyways
Here comes Mills the fail troll. Nobody bother responding to his post, he probably knows its completely irrelevant.
It sounds like they are using some type of formant filter. These are filters that try to accentuate harmonics that relate to vocal harmonics. I know of one free similar thing to a formant filter, but not to the exact type they used.

theres like 3 of these ableton help threads now. i dont think theres enough ableton users on newgrounds forums to matter that much.

while the program might be worth its price, there still really isnt anthing that ableton offers over fl studio, except maybe some dj tools in relation to mixing. so its not worth the switch for that reason at all.
in fact fl studio is much more flexible in terms of automations and controllers.

My hard drive is friend, or something. I don't even know what's wrong. All I know, is that it'll start up and then go to a black screen where I have the option to fix it. But you can't fix it.
boot in safe mode, save your stuff onto cd or a drive, and do a system restore >.<
or if worst comes to worst, save your drivers too and reformat, thats a fix all problems solution haha
Garageband loops are public domain, and even the obvious things thrown together with their pre-made loops are still technically "Original work," however newgrounds would be overrun with these submissions if people of that level of production were allowed in. It's an extra filtering system so that people don't have to work their way through a mindlessly long list of songs to find even one song that's actually worth a minute to listen to (Which even with that extra filter, it still is basically).
@theOP:
You were filtered out because your music did exactly that, it used the same loops that thousands apon thousands of other songs use, and if you want your music to grow, then you need to grow yourself first. Study into what you are doing a little. Build your OWN sample base, and make your own loops, don't rely on what someone else has put together for you. You will find that you can simulate any instrument electronically, so don't think this means going out an buying a bunch of stuff either, it just means learn the business before trying to jump into it.
In the mean time, there are plenty of other websites that would be glad to host your generic loop stuff.
Soundcloud
bandcamp
reverbnation
last.fm
etc
Newgrounds doesn't have to exist, somebody made it, and its free, so stop complaining.

This same thing happened to me, except couple that with corrupting 2 days of scoring work >.<
@LogicalDefiance: NYUK NYUK NYUK
I dont get it...Did you try doing what I did to symbol but fail finding the right person?
I think so
My assumption of this is because your monitors has a bigger response, so any noticeably loud noise that isnt within a standard speaker frequency range is being cut out or is causing them to distort trying to play a frequency it cant normally.
I always make sure to test my songs on many different speakers. Headphones, cheap laptop speakers, etc.
Dont forget Mu Lab
it probably does everything you need, and the interface is really beginner friendly.
LUCKY ME
I email my friend seeing if he can do some really simple graphic work(he's about to get his bachelors in design), and this is the response I get
"Or send me an audio file and I'll make something for it. Im in an advanced motion graphics class, so im looking for something to base a final project on so good timing."
WIN

When I saw gravey's work at first I was amazed, it was the closest I was going to get with this project. But I was also blown away by a person who isnt superior to him, but the type of music they produced was a bit more closer to what I wanted. Not the type of skill they have, but the type of tone they add to there music. I was going to choose Gravey until I met them, but now I cant get a contract renewal with them so I came back like I said before. But unfortunately they cant renew a contract with me because of them being too busy making music for someone else.At 7/20/10 09:43 PM, Gravey wrote: OP InfoThank you Gravey I was actually teetering the edge of wanting to/not wanting to, and that helped me decide which way to go. Sounds like a miscommunication. It happens.
I understand its not too much money, but im just looking for someone who will be willing too work with my budget.
If you really are having trouble finding someone, I would be available, but I will not be able to invest as much time into it as I would a fully paying audio job. Details otherwise we can discuss via PM.
Here are some random examples of demo-type audio clips of mine, with about the same time investment I can make for the episodes at that rate.

There is probably about 10 different ways.
I would suggest either adjusting the ADSR envelope in the Channel Settings appropriately to give it a fading sound, or to draw in a custom volume envelope by right clicking the volume of that channel, and going to "Edit Events"
