Yeah in the future you should use the FL help thread, but it seems you already know that.
Theres actually tons of ways to get around to different patterns besides the scroll option. The first other way is to use the hotkeys "+" and "-" on your number pad to go up and down. The second way is to use your X2 mouse key (if your mouse has side buttons then this will be one of those) and it will open up a pattern and audio picker window that shows all the patterns in graphic form for you to click. The third and fourth way are to use the drop down menu in the step sequencer and the playlist (depending on what window you are working in). These are both located in next to the play button of each window. The fifth way is limited to the first nine patterns only mich can be useful when you first start a project, all you have to do is have the num lock on and then any number you press on the num pad will go to that pattern.
Theres also three ways to get to a new unused pattern when without scrolling through to find the first empty one. You can click the "+" button in th step sequencer at the top, or you press F4, or you can use that extra mouse button to get to the window I talked about earlier and select the new pattern option. They will all prompt you to title the new track but if your lazy like me then you can just hit escape to get outta that quickly. I learned to just hit F4 and the escape key in a quick sequence to get me to a new pattern. Works great.
So theres a ton of ways to get around to different patterns. The scroll is definitely the slowest way. Nevermind the Make Unique functions and the Lock To Content functions which also improve pattern related workflow.
There's a lot of methods to recording a piano; A lot of room and application factors too. But if you only have one mic, and you only have an upright piano, then you probably want to open the lid and stick a mic pointing into the piano from a foot or two above the middle. If you have a stereo pair then do the same thing a little closer to the piano but with a 120-135 degree XY set up.
Congrats on being about as old as the number of people living in your country
We can't delete tracks we can only ban them, which means an admin probably did it or someone hacked you. Either way, what are you trying to get out of this? Have you lost the song? Do you want to upload more or did you make a thread just to find out so you can yell at them or what? You can always just submit it again you know.
Ear Wax
My body doesnt naturally produce it so each month I have to melt a candle and pour it into my ear. Tru Fax
cm twenty one t\eday.

You've been banned . You may only submit your own work to newgrounds. If you want to submit your own stuff in the future on a new account please go over the submission rules beforehand.
Read bottom to top, left to right. Practice. All there is to it.
And obviously don't take guesses at stuff. Don't assume things like that different clefs are the same notes haha. (said with a light tone =P)
Scales
All 12 keys, major and all both natural and harmonic minor. Start with one octave, and work your way up to four. Use a metronome and keep tabs on your pace. Dont think going fast is good, its about shaping. Pretend each up and down of a scale is a phrase of music (cuz it is haha). Only when you are comfortable should you speed up. Start with major keys and learn your way from the top of the circle of fifths to the bottom.
Hannon
These are a series of exercises that build finger pattern skills that you don't get from scales. Very useful for building dexterity as well
Well Tempered Clavier, Gradus ad Parnnassum
Some old school books that people like Haydn and Mozart played to help learn contrapuntal playing. Great examples. Also any of Bach's inventions are great for that too.
And in a more modern sense, study up on voicing chords and learn to realize figured bass and lead sheets. "The Real Book" is a great place to start playing off good lead sheets. I wouldnt know where to find good figured bass stuff cuz I think its mostly used just for organ these days.
But yeah I teach classical piano so if you ever have any questions let me know and I'll try to explain =)

If you're like me, you're probably keeping most of your hardware and shit laying around because its mere presence inspires you, even though you know that you could write good tunes with only a solid PC and monitors ;D
Oh yeah I didnt even think of that, and yeah just having a devoted studio room with acoustic treatment makes me feel like I shouldnt do anything but write music in here haha.

Same thing happens to me if I listen to DnB a lot then decide to listen to house or somethin. The house music seeems super slow
Oh also the vibration of my BX5As somehow turns up the volume knob on the back of my left speaker so I have to readjust the levels with a dB meter every few weeks. Super lame, but at least its not just my brain tricking me
I was soooo logged into the wrong account, but yeah.
Also, and on topic, smokin weed inspires me to write music like nobodies business. Cant hurt to give that a try or two... or three thousand.

Says you. Many of my best pieces come from using a logical approach to making music when I'm not inspired to. And many times once a solid idea is laid out it I am inspired from it too and get back into the swing of things.
You don't need inspiration to write music. Just do it. Decide on a genre and imagery and handle business.
2 months of fearing for my life and being in protective services and filing 3 different restraint and protection orders later and I get grilled from my music theory teacher because I missed asignments due to not being able to come out of the room I was locked in to protect myself.
Nevermind that I aced all his tests and tutored 3 other students in the class, guess that doesn't matter. Now I have to retake a whole year of school. Thanks crazy fuck for ruining so much shit.

I'm pretty sure that was like half a year to a year ago, but yeah we definitely had this topic already, and it spawned a giant argument about what it means to be a producer and a DJ.
I vote no on the potential repeat argument.
Also ganon95 you just got trolled haha. I suggest not starting complaint threads in the future.

Yeah crapatflash you're definitely gettin trolled haha.
He has a bunch of terrible reviews on his other songs.

Nope we just look like we can cuz our auras got peed on. The people for that are Rig, Rucklo. or Jarrydn around the AF.

True, but not that many of us actually do part writing though. In fact I only know of like 3 people that concern themselves with proper voicing and orchestration. Contrabassoon can play a D7 right?!?!

i dont want to discuss it. i just want to do drugs and play with it

That's one of the advantages of the Snowball, that you can plug it in anywhere without having to install a driver. But now it turns out to be a con too.. :/
The only problem is FL. And i have no idea what 'mobos' is.
Mobo is just short for motherboard. Its like the sound card that came built into your comp.
This is one of those 'if only i could be there to check it out' type things. You dont happen to live in Chicago do you? hahah

What sort of music is your program making you guys play?
Well each person has to do 3-5 pieces on their principle instrument infront of a jury of doctored performers on a main stage. But the way the music degree is there people have to take a minimum of 7-8 classes at a time so we all have a huge amount of finals. The 4th semester theory people have to compose their own tonal piece and commission players for a performance they conduct too and theres been major drama with that.

One measure? pfft! Its gonna do all 3 modulations in every single beat.
Mines gonna metrically modulate from 4/4 to 8/8 then 16/16. It's gonna be epic
5 fellow musicians in my music program broke out in tears today. They work us way too hard! But whatever two more days til its over with then I can celebrate my 21st bday this saturday in style!
Oh also randomly recorded me playing a movement of Haydns first sonata. Fuckin hate having 9 birds squawk over everything.
