Well, maybe the game didn't work out for you. I liked it. The overall feeling is really great.
By the way, games don't have to have action, adventures, puzzles and etc the whole time. They can give you a little introspection too :)

Of course we don't go to the bakery dodging bullets, and everything is not pandemonium, but yes, the bad part is quite similar :P

Well, I don't like him, don't follow his deeds and don't care. I have some youtube friends who tend to lick his dice, but oh well...
Not everyone likes the same stuff, do they? :P I really prefer Robaaz over him.

How did Max Payne 3 influence y... Posted January 4th, 2014 in Video Games

Hey, folks!
So, I've finally finish Max Payne 3, and just loved it. Max payne has always been one of my favorite series ever, and one of the few ones in which I can see myself under the character's skin. Even though the third game had some things I would like to see different, one of the most exotic (no pun intended) things the franchise has ever seen was one of my favorite: The scenario being changed to my hometown, São Paulo, Brazil.
The game shows A LOT of things that really look like reality, like the microwave (when the favela guys kill the other guy by flaming him in the truck tires) and the police corruption, which is always something to talk around here.

What I wanna know is, how did Max Payne change or influence your point of view about Brazil? Those who don't know the country tend to build it's image from what they see in media, Max Payne included. I've once met someone who thought I lived in Blanka's stage, so I've grown interest in seeing how people see it after playing Max Payne 3!

And by the way, sorry if it sounds like a dumb thing to ask.

I am am adding you on skype, sir. I am a young writer who's studying scriptwriting for seven years and am very interested in joining, as I am a comic book reader myself, and even though I prefer Marvel over DCU, I always admit DC is having the best stories nowadays.
I'm isaque1993 there. Thanks for the post!

Well, nice place to talk about me.
Well, I'm 20 years old, don't drink, don't smoke nor use any other kind of drug (even though I have lots of friends who do and respect me for this).
I first heard the expression from my favorite nowadays wrestler, CM Punk, and iddentified to the cause. Problem is... I'm not Punk neither like most of punk songs. I have a cause in which I don't use any kind of drug and don't put not even a single drop of alcohol in my mouth. Am I considered a straight edge or just somewhat close to it's concept?

What reminds me the last boss from Super Mario Bros. on 3DS was completely disappointing. A shame, as the level design was SO great

The first boss that comes in mind to me is Shao Kahn. He always worked in my head as the definite final boss, the ultimate bad guy. Not only because he is freaking difficult to beat, but also because of how he is designed and portraited even before his first appearance. Shao Kahn is always there watching you fight for his amusement. He is the one who calls the names and the rounds, and HELL, HE COMES OUT OF HIS THRONE ONLY TO BEAT YOUR BUTT! His voice is remarkable, specially in MK2 / 3, and his character design works perfectly well to that specific world.

Other boss battles certainly include Dr. Robotnik in Sonic Chaos, as that battle uses everything you learned throughout the game with a nice musical theme to it. The Hydra in God of War also is a remarkable boss, just as the first Colosssus in Shadow of the Colossus, which will always bring chills to anyone who played it.

The list of bosses is huge, as each boss marks the pinnacle of a challenge, the all-or-nothing battle which determines if you are good enough to go to the next trial. Any boss who does this is a nice boss, and the ones who manage to touch you deeply enough will never be forgotten :)

Just a little poll.

-Not always
-Rarely
-Rarely
-No
-I don't think there's a "how I wish I looked like".
-It depends on the story, but I'd rather write about people TRYING to be good, facing their limitations

-No,

-No.
-Just once: I used "Crow".
-Depends on the story
-No.

Terror, that’s what I felt. Darkness, my friend, what used to be feared is now a blanket of embrace I wear. Light, now my enemy, a great advantage now turned against me. A deadly predator searching for the prey it had lost, swift but loud clanging after me. Sweat dripped from my face, breath shallow, the predator so near yet so far. My hiding place was smart, its stench masked my smell, its location in a spot obvious yet unknown. A loud crash echoed from the far end of the corridor, the clanging of the predator faint now as it searched the ship further for me. I relaxed a little and closed my eyes; rest would come in handy for later.

Well, it seems okay to me. Nothing wrong there, and your writing is somewhat pleasing. You should keep writing and show us where this may lead, as probabilities are endless.
It's fine as the beginning of an introduction. Now you should try to understand where this will lead, if you haven't already. Keep up the good work.

Well, I probably have to go with a list for this one (does Peggle Deluxe counts?):

Awesomenauts (seriously, it's so cool)
Gratuitous Space Battles
Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Castle Crashers
Dear Esther
Game Dev Tycoon
Shatter
Binding of Isaac

Well, there are way too many games to be listed. I think these are enough.

Hello there guys! So, I just love humble bundles and want to buy the WB one, but I'm not quite sure if it is actually worth for me.
I have MK: Arcade Kollection, Arkham City GOTY, Arkham Asylum GOTY and Scribblenauts Unlimited, and I don't know how good are the other games... or if I should just buy the "below the average" pack.

What do you guys think?

I can see it really being a F4 teaser, but I can't understand all the reasons people are actually believing it's a Fallout game. It doesn't seem so written in stone.
