I have always liked shaman king and felt it was a bit underrated. Probably due to its bad or unfinished ending. Good thing they are re-releasing it in japan with the "true ending" but it will be about a year till then.

But pft, Least he's got a cool cape, that's all that matters.

He also looks pretty in a dress.

Lucas will either turn around or just absorb the attacks from his back. A common misconception that only works from the front.

At 6/13/08 06:08 PM, ramun-flame wrote: I did a little reserch about ness and lucas and this is what I found.

1.PK Flash does over 30 damage to lucus and heals him 30.
2.PK Freeze does about 16 damage to ness and heals him 30.
3.PK Fire(lucus) does 8 damage to ness and heals him 5.

That's all I have for now, but I find #2 to be very interesting. I'll do more testing and get back to you.

No need for more testing as it has already been done.

The absorption maxes out at 30% per hit

Ness is probably my favorite video game character but yeah Lucas is the superior one. Heals more with magnet and it does damage. PK thunder goes threw people pk fire is good for spacing and faster netural b move. And that are just his special attacks.

Frankly i found this game boring. Every other War game is dark so i found the colorful AW world fresh and different making dark and gray is just boring. I can see that they truly are trying to add innovations with each installment of the series but for me it really isn't enough to keep me entertain. This will probably be the last AW game i buy.

I think Smashville is the most "neutral" stage. Flat for projectiles and a moving platform so the stage won't completely benefit projectiles. Also FD is horrible with its ledges that often trap you.

Like matt mention counter picking would be best but i can see it being hard to implement over wifi unless people are on aim or something.

So brawl has been out for a couple of months now. Who does everyone think is the best character. For me it would be snake. Getting pretty irritated of seeing snake and MK win every tourney i go too.

tl;dr version
In the end, playing to win ends up accomplishing much more than just winning. Playing to win is how one improves. Continuous self-improvement is what all of this is really about, anyway. I submit that ultimate goal of the "playing to win" mindset is ironically not just to win...but to improve. So practice, improve, play with discipline, and play to win.

Both of their recoveries are great. Some people are just too dense to figure out how to aim.

like nikorasu1 said with ness you can just jump and eat the thunder and stop them. Lucas is the same except you gotta push one more button. Their recovery is slow and can be predictable. I main Ness/Lucas this is why i know that their recovery sucks I am just not blinded by fanboyism.

sure his recovery is good vertically, but horizantally or daigonally especially it is pathetic compared to many others in brawl. im not saying snake sux, im saying that on a level like, new port city, or something with obstacles, his recovery move is not ideal. and no i dont suck with snake, im actually pretty decent with him.

His recovery may not take him places horizontally or diagonally but it doesn't need to. It takes him upwards enough that it makes up for it.

also snake becomes a sitting duck while slowly soaring upward. even if he attempts a counter-attack,he will need to drop his little chopper thing and this will cause a slight delay that any good player will take full advantage of and juggle his ass to kingdom kum.

Many characters are vulnerable during their recovery moves like pit but they are still great recovery moves. Compare to weak recoveries like Lucas/Ness, Ice climbers, Yoshi and other Snake has a great recovery far from being "pathetic"

Thats just not true at all. Snake has by far one of the best recoveries in the game. Getting stuck under a stage shouldn't happen that often unless you suck and even when you do a good snake player will blow themselves up and re used thier up B

Not gonna use the word cheap but the best character so far is probably snake. Many attacks come out fast and are strong. Has decent projectiles and decent speed even tho he is heavy. A lot of his moves can be kill moves. He how ever has one of the harder learning curves in brawl but thats not saying much sense is brawl and all. None the less saying characters are cheap is as silly as saying smash games are balanced.
