I've heard a lot about it, but can't seem to try it because of it's oldness.
Any particular recommendations?

Well first are you sure you are not getting Hajime no Ippo and Tomorrow's Joe confused? Joe is from the 70s and the ippo manga is from the 90s and anime from early 00s, hardly old.

Joe has sadly only been subbed for the first 6 episodes. The manga is good. Has a nice story and different from other sports anime/manga.

God damn i love Ippo. Still shed manly tears when i hear Yuuzorano Kamihikouki. This show almost inspire me to take boxing but then remember that i am scrawny and too lazy to work out.

I would recommend tomorrows joe if you haven't already checked it out.

You seriously belive the game is 100% balance. No game is ever 100% balanced why would a party game be perfectly balanced where other actual games that try to be as balance as possible fail.

you idiots yoshi is a awesome character

Yoshi sucks and will always suck. Smash has intentional joke characters. This is easily seen by the nerfing of jiggly. Yeah sure yoshi has good jumps but no matter what a third recovery > too good jumps. Why many reason but really do too being able to Meteor Smash cancel. Also he is weak and light. Yoshi blows and is pathetic.

I don't wanna hear it with "oh well they're somewhat different" bullshit either.

Go to training, select all three furries and perform all their smash attacks. Besides the similarities in their specials and landmaster they have different moves.

Go check out ashita no joe its really great. Second sport anime that has gotten me interested in it. It has been started getting subbed but they are pretty slow with it.

Wait, i thought the whole club was anti piracy but i have seen a number of torrent and download talk not being pointed out and told to shut about. Am i being a slowpoke or did you guys change your policy or something.

If two people of equal or around the same skill level play. One chooses pichu the other marth who is most likely to win? No game is 100% balance and as long as two characters have one different move there will be a tier. Also there is no tier list for brawl. Tier list are mostly tournament results and the closest thing to at tier list for brawl is this.
http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=

Nothing but raw data.

I will never understand why smash casual players take such an offense at something that is generally commonly accepted on other gaming communities.

In melee there was a player name Gimpyfish who placed high and won many tournaments with bowser and is highly respected. Guess what? Bowser is still low tier. Same thing happen to Ness and Link but they are still low tier.

At 6/16/08 09:29 PM, ramun-flame wrote: I just played some pretty competetive brawls and realized(No offence) that really none of you guys are tourny level fighting. We have never played but that is because i detest wifi and it hardly proves any ones skill unless there is zero lag.

Lucas will either turn around or just absorb the attacks from his back. A common misconception that only works from the front.
One time i was being attacked by both sides at the same time. I only absorbed the projectiles on the front. That's a 1v1 match so you can't be hit by projectiles in different places at the same time.

Like kRaZyAzN mention you were probably hit with a solid projectile or let go of magnet.

I have always liked shaman king and felt it was a bit underrated. Probably due to its bad or unfinished ending. Good thing they are re-releasing it in japan with the "true ending" but it will be about a year till then.
