I R happy - for my 'Make Love not Warhammer' is complete

I spent most of today finishing off...tweaking some bits :)

I'd like some feedback ect but bear in mind that this is almost frame by frame animation so the easiest thing would be to add stuff/slighty tweak rather than chaning complete scenes :P

(ps. this is a complete reconstruction of some southpark scenes - i had to choose the ones most relevant to the 'gaming' aspect of Warhammer's Dawn Of War - if i get good feedback i can make another tiny 5sec one (which you'd get in about 2 animations after this one with cartman on the toilet seat, reading the wh40k rulebook - give me the thumbs up and i'll work :P)

Ok lemmi ask a question : is there any stuff i can fix / make more clear in my animations? (mainly the blood raven one)

Yes it's quite a problem the filesize factor...tho we're allowed to submit up to 10meg if i'm not mistaken so i hope we wont go over the limit...Flashbound pls tell me if it's good or not pls - if it's too big for the collab i'll stop doing it

here, instead of recreating the audio, try recording it from the clip its' self

it will look best if you virtually recreate the scene.

Good :P In fact i used the same vid to copy the animation for cartman :P I'll probably be changing the last bits i made (from the house in the snow onwards) and make thje piece where time's passing bye and they're getting uglyer - it'll be more funny than them playing against tom fulp (the one with the angry face on the monitor) :P

Rather than continuing my animation, i started my southpark themed one today and tbh it's pretty fun. Drawing's quite easy but animating them in south park style is quite difficult as simple tweening will make it look cheap and fake...so frame by frame for this one :P

The animation wont be any longer than the main rif for live to win - i'm following the basic animation from the actual cartoon for now tho i'll add some more origial stuff later on - i didnt want to start inventing my own stuff till now to keep to the South Park concept.

If it's too south parkish and lacks a lot of warhammer 40k (which i think it does) please tell me and if you've got some witty ideas pls tell me :P

PS. It's about 2 meg cos of the footage from dawn of war - i hope it wont be a problem :/

Good...i'll work on that next :P I'll try imitate south park as good as possible but i dont want to make it a simple south park playing dow...i might make the children in 'home made wh40k costumes' and so on...maybe even draw them in my normal style

At the moment my animation's a good 69% complete - i just need to finish off the last 5secs of animation tho for now i'm adding some tiny details and filling up some gaps.

Btw u had another short idea - i dont know if you've ever seen a South Park episode called 'Make Love not Warcraft' - could i make a mini-mini spoof of that with kyle, cartman and co. playing dawn of war with the same music? (Paul Stanley's Live to Win) :P

Sexi animation....though i'm not too much of a 40k guy (more into fantasy - - okok Forbid i'll make a 40k army one day :P) But to be honest...i didnt understand the joke :'(

What i was thinking was getting the emperor, a messenger marine or whatever brings an urgen threat message from chaos...and it's a rick roll vid. Then the whole thing gets black, music's still going on and credits. What would be good would be a rly retarded loop of each character (as you said) and they'll be shown during the credits alongside the artists name :)

The karete kid isnt bad...tho i think rick roll might be a bit more classic

Improve sound:
go publish settings> flash(tab)> and change the two settings for sound (there are 2 'set' buttons) to something like 48 or maybe even higher.

Aye sir...the explosion is still a test sound...i want something more comical and exaerated :P The next bit of the scene would be the gay space maine (the one without a helmet and his proud stride) stopping the whole battle as he crys over the dead thing...to the extent that one of the orks comes to pat his back :p

At the moment mine is 119KB but it's still 1/2 done (ps. the sound is 32bit for good quality)

I'm mainly asking this as being that it's a realtively 'small' colab (nothing like the MGS ones) i dont think Tom will let us upload a file bigger than 10Mb (which i dont think we will exceed but i'm just asking :P)

I finished about 1/3 of the basic animation for my 1st cartoon (not the prologue - i'm still working on that) so i decided to upload it on spamtheweb for you guys to get an idea on how i'm animating and so on... Comments are greatly accepted...let's make this thing a front-pace animation :P

Ps. There's still no sound, and the explosions are still absent - all i've got are the flashes, aaaaaand the tank's still lacking guns, designs and so on :P

Things seem to be going on quite nicely over here :P
I started animating my Space Marines piece (still dont know if i'll make them agains Orks or Tyranids) and i've done about 14sec till now - all that's left for these 14seconds are a few explosions, debris, extra details and so on but it's tourning out quite fine.

As for music, i havent found decent 'warhammerish' music on ng till now...are we allowed to use songs from the Dawn of War series?

Do the animations have to be in one movieclip or a normal timelined animation?

So...if i understood correctly we're all in and can start animating :P

I've come up with two ideas for now - one mainly involving the relatively homosexual space marine i drew (the event happens as his squad land from a drop-pod and charge towards the enemy [prob orks] and something happens [wont tell as not to spoil the joke] which reveals his soft side)

I also tought of a relatively silly animation which could be used for the prologue - it's based on the opening sequence of the movie 300 - stating how each soldier was born, inspected [joke somewhere there] and a brief overview of what Warhammer40K is actually about - obviously in brief and as stupidly as possible.

If you want i can animate the 2nd one and use it as a prologe (after menu - before the title of the animation - if you get what i mean)

And if anyone's got ideas and so on i'm all ears (/eyes)

I posted a link on the forums yet they closed the thread as i might have broken some unknown rules...well i tried :P What one might do would be to look for the WHF and WH40K flashes on NG and pm some of the artists..they might have not seen this forum :)
