Yeah it's frustrating cause I could see myself getting to the 'trying too hard' stage. I'm not trying to make it iconic, not really wanting to be that big. My advice is you take some of your favourite songs that you've written and look for phrases that really resonate with you. Either directly copy a phrase or shorten it or something. If you don't immediately hate the way it sounds, just roll with it; you can always change it when you start to make it big.

Some excellent advice, perhaps not take it directly, but paraphrase it or something...yeah...I'll keep it in mind when I'm recording later.

Both me and my songwriting partner have been pondering for months on a possible band name. We've gone through movie references, injokes, random word combos (including going to that 'make a band name' website) and still nothing. It's becoming a serious mental block. Either the name is too corny or too boring or too weird or already taken.

I figured 'Free beer and strippers' would work for getting people to come see our gigs (imagine the flyers) but it's too reliant on false pretences.

Help! Give some suggestions!
