Definitely gave me a chuckle. As did the "Someone make me a Myspace clone" thread.

It's a little known fact that Admin Tim doesn't like fiction. Only non-fiction for him. He only found this out recently, and blames his teachers in school for not exposing it to him sooner.

The End.

Yeah, I just noticed that too. I've passed it on to Bob to have a look at.

To all who have inquired, the quoting system we use now won't be replaced. We're just looking into offering programmers the ability to use the <code> tag to display chunks of code without line breaks or other formatting.

Don't hold your breath though. Jim informs me its a lot trickier than just "allowing" it, I'm guessing because it'll affect the way our entire posting mechanism works.

Anyway, thanks for CitricSquid for reminding me that we had this on the back burner, though.

We mocked up a form for choosing from the six available licenses, but it has yet to be implemented. Perhaps now it will be done sooner rather than later.

And yes, now that this thread mentions it, the songs all uploaded before the redesign did fall under a simple CC-By license, not the CC-By-NC-SA license. We'll get it right soon, don't worry.

More likely because there are only a handful of us working on it, and only 2 programmers at that. I'd like to see what you've programmed of you think that's any small task.

They're not inferior. Ross, Tim and I are all using macs at NG. So to people who say they're "only good for films and art stuff", how's about the stuff we use them for? Programming, administrating, and laying out a site as large as NG.
Thanks bob, but I was largely wondering if it would be worth it if I was going to college, I'd mostly use it for doing papers, chatting, and watching porno in HD.

then it's whatever you're most comfortable with. just remember that most people (either mac-heads or pc-heads) haven't used both.

Well, i'm not all that nice. You see, the shirt comes with 2NG, 1 AF, and one of each sticker sheet. The comicon cards we're tossing in extra. Also, the Deluxe pack comes with 30NG stickers, not 20. Anyway, glad you're happy. We're here to please.

You can look at his/her LEVEL for that. Why is it important to know exactly how much exp a person has?

Very true. But considering most people didn't even notice.... I'd say it was a change for the best, mostly.

But hey, it means more people will be looking at just the Level a person is, making that stat stand out a little more? Maybe?

Yeah, we think so. The feeling was that a person's Level was already based on experience, so why show both? Also tightened things up to trim the height of one-line posts so the page is shorter.
