Well, the ideal that everyone should have freedom to express their opinions is something that some people tend to abuse. Also saying that just because one opinion contradicts the other, and also making it inferior to the other (or vice versa), is arbitrary. An opinion is something that should be treated as equally as the person(s) saying it.
