John and Jake have been officially cast now and I've decided that I'm going to play the character Will. I still need an actor to play Randy and an actress to play John's Girlfriend so for anyone reading this who has contacted me already and if I've asked you to audition, please audition for the part of Randy or John's Girlfriend and please make sure to keep in touch. I'd like to have all auditions into me by Monday 29th, 10:00PM (EDT) Boston Timezone. Hey, I'm in need of some voice actors for an animated short I'm making called "Like A Rock Star". I need 6 male voice actors for dialog and 1 female voice actress for a crying scene. Deadline Friday, April 26th. Must be OK with having both your NG username AND your real name listed in the credits, since I'm planning on showing this movie at a film festival in addition putting it up here on Newgrounds. Hello people of Newgrounds. I'm working on a animated short called "Like A Rock Star," which is about a rock band that enters a battle of the bands competition and are offered a chance to make it big by a record producer until tragedy strikes. There are 6 male characters who have lines of dialog and 1 female character who must be able to sound like they're crying. The female character is the girlfriend of one of the main characters who dies in the movie.

I'll list the characters I need dialog for, describe what their voice should sound like based on their personalities, and provide a sample of dialog for anyone who wants to audition for these roles here:

1) Randy - (Main Character) - 20-25 years in age. A cool guy type. He's also a recovering drug/alcohol addict. Must be able to emote, as he delivers an emotional monologue in the last scene of the movie when he's at a funeral.
Ex. Dialog - It's a shame that this had to happen. (Pause) But in a way... and as much as I hate to admit it... this is probably what you would have wanted. (Pause) You lived and died like a rock star. I miss you man.

2) John - 22-27 years in age. Practical jokester type. Has a drug/alcohol problem. Loves to party. There is a scene where this character needs to sound like they're wasted out of their mind.
Ex. Dialog - i) ...dude, I told you that we're gonna make it to the top!
ii) We know you've got some trouble in the lady department. So maybe tonight, you can finally lose your virginity. (Laughs)

3) Will - 21-24 years in age. Eccentric chatterbox type. Has same kinds of drug/alcohol problems as John. Front-man/Lead vocalist of the band. (I have someone to sing as this character, so no singing will be required). But I will need someone who can shout out loud and also sound like they're heavily intoxicated.
Ex. Dialog - i) THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! GOODNIGHT!!!!
ii) Yeah come on, man, it'll be fun! There's gonna be a lot of girls there...

4) Thomas - 18-21 years in age. Quiet type. Not happy with John & Will's behavior. Thomas gets upset with both of them in a scene that takes place after their battle of the bands concert.
Ex. Dialog - i) Look, both of you are totally wasted. You shouldn't be driving to that club.
ii) Shut up! You guys are high and drunk. It's a bad idea!

5) Jake - 22-26 years in age. Enthusiastic promoter/manager of the band. Dreams of the band he's managing making it big. Needs to sound like he's speaking loudly because he's inside a club filled with loud music.
Ex. Dialog - i) Wait a second... Tod Stevens... the multi-platinum selling record producer Tod Stevens?
ii) (Shocked) Whoa...

6) Tod - Middle Aged. Smooth-talker, yet comes across as being down to earth. He's an award winning record producer of a fictional record label. Needs to sound like he's speaking loudly because he's inside a club filled with loud music.
Ex. Dialog - I came here tonight to scout out some of the local bands and I just wanted you to know that I like the sound of your band. It's just the kind of sound the label's looking for right now.

There isn't a ton of dialog so the movie will probably be less than 10 minutes in total running time.

The deadline for these roles to be completed by is next Friday, April 26th. Studio quality sound recordings (using high quality microphones) in either WAV or AIFF format preferred. This won't be a paying gig unless maybe if I gain any revenue from this project after it's completed/submitted, I could figure something out. Even if so, it probably wouldn't be a whole lot. Additionally, who ever auditions for any of the roles listed above must be OK with having their real names (as well as their NG usernames) listed in the credits, as I plan to show this animated film at a film festival in addition to posting this animated film on the internet.

Well, here's my submission for the Larry contest. I ran in to some complications when exporting the big one but I managed to find a way to get it to the correct dimensions. Anyway, here's Larry facing off against the Overlord as if it was something out of a fighting game.
